The most perfect sushi restaurant. Our server was friendly and had amazing recommendations.
The decor was so oddly futuristic? Not sure how to describe it but it reminds me of Chakolab products. Would 10/10 go again!
I loved this restaurant’s cozy, eclectic atmosphere. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was overall delicious. Some standouts include the chicken fat rice and the chef’s choice nigiri. They also had some great lunch set deals, and they have several options in their yakitori menu for non-sushi eaters as well. Overall, the presentation and execution of detail was incredible. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!
How utterly disappointing.
The moment our maki arrived and we each took a bite and looked at each other, we knew there was a problem. We likened it to HEB sushi, and that’s being nice. Moreover, having a swarm of filth flies at the dining table hovering over us while dining was the deal sealer. We went in excited and ready to have a great experience considering Doko’s sister establishments and their respective reputations, but what a let down. The insect situation was so bad that we had to end our meal midway and ask for the check. Our server was gracious enough to acknowledge the issue, but at that point I feel like management should have been notified and involved. We never look for a free meal nor do we cause a scene and complain, it’s not our style, but things can be handled appropriately and with discretion.
Delicious food, amazing service! I can't wait to return!
Allyssa was the absolute sweetest and made sure we ordered the best food. I can’t wait to go back. The Ramen, Chicken rice, and wagyu roll was perfect.
Great food, great service, Kara age is amazing, tasty sushi and monthly specials are interesting and fun
Cozy and eclectic.
Food was outstanding. Service was attentive and thorough. Good recommendations from staff. Manager circulated among tables and spent time explain concept and direction. Will be back.
Doko is a hidden gem. My friend took me there today for my first time and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was very warm and welcoming and the food was divine. It's a perfect spot for a date night or a delicious dinner with friends. I have been telling everyone about it and will most likely dream of the food. Thank you for the best experience ever! See you soon DOKO!!!!
We have had several meals at Doko and are big fans. Great modern atmosphere with great staff and delicious food. Hidden gem
It’s so cuteeeee! The food was great just like we expect from all of Patrick and Daniel’s spots. Service was great and I can’t get over how cute it is inside! Also, get the deboned chicken wing!!

Had the $75 lunch tasting and honestly loved every bite. Super fresh, super flavorful-everything was just really well done.
Drinks were a bit pricey, but they were really good, so no complaints there.
Service was amazing—everyone was so friendly and on point. Definitely planning to come back!
Was jazzed to try this new sushi restaurant in the Autry Park development. We went with some friends and had cocktails at Bar Doko before our 7 pm reservation. We checked in with the hostess and were taken straight to our table upon arrival. The dining space is bright and airy and feels very cool, but note that it is on the loud side.
Our waitress walked us through the menu options but strongly suggested that we do the tasting menu if it was our first time dining with them. We took her advice and also added a couple of appetizer dishes that looked appealing. Overall I was a little disappointed with the food. I feel this was largely down to the rice being under seasoned and not super flavorful and because the rice was included in so many dishes, that had a really strong impact. Favorite dishes of the night were Japanese chicken meatball and the eggplant. One other thing of note, and one of my biggest restaurant menu pet peeves, the chicken gyoza dumplings have fried chicken in them and then the dumpling itself is also deep fried. Nowhere on the menu does it suggest that anything about the dumpling is deep fried. I just prefer to have that information given to me on the front end and not when the dish is served.
Service throughout the evening was really great until the final dish was served and then our waitress kind of disappeared for almost 20 minutes before offering us a dessert menu. Ultimately, I would likely give this spot another try, but would probably order a la carte in the future.
