Nothing is good here except for the sandwich. The rolls are tiny and overpriced. Don't order any soup entree. The worse ever is the wonton noodle soup

****AWFUL EXPERIENCE! ****Do NOT expect any kind of customer service here from the staff. We arrived at 5:50pm and ordered 4 sandwiches. They told us that they were only serving “to-go,” which seemed strange considering their hours posted on the door said they were open till 7pm. When we saw the restaurant was full and people kept sitting down, we also decided to quickly eat our sandwiches at the table before heading out. Promptly, the manager, Julio, came to our table to asked us to leave. He said that he and his staff wanted to leave early and that only people entering the restaurant before 6pm could stay. In complete shock and disbelief of what was happening, we tried to reason and argue that we came in before 6pm and that their hours were clearly posted as open till 7pm on the door as well as online. Julio, literally stood at the table arguing and then silently staring at us as we tried to eat, making my kids and I super uncomfortable. He the. threatening to call the police for us not leaving and my children cried from the embarrassment and overall experience. Julio, Your poor lack of choices today lost a great customer and hopefully your owners see this and take action before other customers turn their back on this establishment, like we will for life. You can’t treat people like this long before the public realizes that there are simply many other options nearby with kind staff that value their customers and their business. If you hate your job this much, maybe it’s time for a life change, rather than treating people with such disrespect. Our best wishes to you, we will never speak of this place to anybody again.

Poor customer service. Bread was hard, not fresh like other places. Veggies weren’t chopped properly, literally a quarter of a cucumber and a whole jalepeno shoved into the banh mi. They also charge extra for pate and didn’t even put any in. First and last time here

I just love Don Cafe, it is such a familiar spot. Love the food, never disapoints,it is flavorful, the portions are big but not huge, if you like spicy, they have spicy sauces to accompany your dish.
I always get the special pho and the barbacue pork bahn mi. The only thing is they just accept cash.
My kids love the food and it is very family friendly.

Have had their banh mi thit nuong for years since they first opened. For me that used to be the star of the restaurant. The bread was light and crispy, the bite mayo was buttery and flavorful, and the meant was tender, most, and so full of flavor. Nowadays the meat is dry and barely tastes like it has any marinade to it. The pickled veggies in the sandwich are rather bland as well. Cannot speak for the rest of their menu, but overall the grilled pork sandwiches that I have been enjoying for years has slowly become a disappointment. Hopefully will find another restaurant that can offer a more satisfying sandwich.

Arguably, the 2nd best place to get a Vietnamese sandwich, just behind Alpha Bakery & Deli inside Hong Kong 4 shopping mall.
