As always, good and service was outstanding. The wagyu classified and lamb were both amazing.
One of the best dining experiences we have had in a very long time! From the time we entered the restaurant and was greeted so kindly, to the wonderful service, phenomenal food and just overall incredible evening! We can't wait to come back!
Food was not good. Way overpriced. Steak was not good. Bread was not good. Salmon was not good. Sweetbreads was good. That's the saving grace. And the service was good. But the prices were outrageous.
Amazing dining experience every single time! Highly recommend Doris to anyone in search of a fine dining experience, even if you don't eat meat!
Always a great experience at Doris - their consistency with the quality of their food is stellar, service and attention from the staff is always outstanding, recommend to everyone for any occasion: business, anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, everyone will be impressed.
Our waiter was very quick. Helpful. And very kind, they all demonstrated immense respect and compassion. I felt very welcomed in this restaurant and would like to come back more frequently! The food was very very well cooked with an excellent flavor and also the environment had some music in the back and was a perfect level to have intimate conversation aswell and a relaxing spot
Excellent experience as always. Everything on the menu that we have tried have been consistently delicious.
I had great food and enjoyed myself as usual. This is where I go on my birthday for the past few years.
Excellent all around. Make sure you get Tony at the bar. Super nice guy with great drinks!
Had a lovely dinner at Doris! The service was very good—attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. I ordered my steak medium rare; it came out a bit overcooked for my taste, but still flavorful and tender. Overall, a great experience with a welcoming atmosphere.

Wonderful experience. The service cannot be beat. They have a large selection of dry-aged beef (which you can view in the large walk-in from the main dining room) and one of the best bread services in the city. There is so much care and attention given to presentation here, it is a truly special meal. The chef was visible and engaged, actively seen evaluating dishes before they went out and ensuring everything was perfect. Highly recommend the beetroot, dry aged tenderloin, the wagyu classified cut, the greens, and the Sesa brulee. Also, the cocktails were inventive and all were delicious. They have an extensive wine list. Can't wait to return and will definitely be coming back to check out happy hour in the near future!
Best steak in Houston in my opinion.
Service, setting, food, are always great. Ask about the price of add-ons. They can be silly. Kids and we love this place. Perfect for special day splurges.
Apps were amazing. Cocktails were good.
Steak is decent. Good dry age flavor.
I learned I don’t like short rib no matter how it’s braised. I should’ve gotten the fish as my other entree.
Went on a Monday for 1/2 price Wagyu and Doris’ social hour and had the BEST time! Got a seat with my husband at their beautiful bar and was lucky enough to get to know the bartenders Maggie and Tony. They are so much fun and their personalities add to your evening!
The food is amazing. Food = happy nom nom nom nom! Their bread is not to be missed and the Japanese Wagyu was absolutely perfect. Debated fighting my husband with my fork for the last piece of that!
I could ramble for ages about what a lovely time I had, but honestly just try it for yourself with the added bonus of great deals on Mondays :) Enjoy!
