Love, love, love this place. It's been around as long as I can remember. After Pappas bought them out, their food and service remained the same. Huge portions, best pies I've ever had. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Brisket Omelet was amazing. Manager came by to check on us a couple of times along with the waitress. The best was when there was a tray dropped and dishes/food went everywhere and the entire crew came together (not having to be told) and had it cleaned up in minutes, shows great leadership and work ethics.
The cheeseburger was a decent size. It was good. Not super big but not a thin patty either. I would get it again. The country fried steak and gravy was pretty good, better than another country restaurant (cb). Other tables were getting slices of pie and it looked really good. I hated that I was too full to try a slice. We would come back again if in town. They had plenty of parking. The only negative I saw was that the bathroom had one stall and it was not very clean.

Been coming here for late night meals after leaving Houston from shows and events. Can't ever go wrong with the atmosphere here. My favorite go to is their monster cheese sticks. Will never disappoint!
I was there to meet with a friend so only two were dining; we were on a 20 minute wait and they put us on a huge table of 8; we requested a smaller table but we were told we had to now wait 30 more minutes and start waiting again. It was late so we didn't have a choice it was either seating on one of those huge corner tables or waiting another 30 minutes. Other restaurants with similar food were already closed since it was 11pm. There were 15 small tables available. They did not want to use a big part of the restaurant. Then we ordered and at this point we got the small table and waited the 20 minutes plus the extra 30 minutes to get the small table. So after ordering they got our order mixed up and gave our food to someone who picked up and left. So we had to wait 20 minutes to be told they gave our food to someone else. They only realized it when they brought us the wrong food. At that point my friend and I made the decision to go to Whataburger. This place used to be a good place to eat late at night. The manager is inept and the staff cannot make a quick adjustment to a table because they are following what their computer tells them. But yes all their staff is glued to their phone on Ticktock so go figure. 0 stars is not a choice.

Really good food And you get a LOT I haven’t been to many restaurants in which the food looks exactly like the menu picture but this one did, I was very impressed. Our server was super friendly and had all the right suggestions so our meal was perfect! We only had breakfast due to the time we arrived but definitely plan to come again in. The future to take in the lunch menu! It was very clean, the restroom was clean, the hostess was happy we were there, the food was so good. Great place to grab a piece of pie and chat with a friend or bring the whole family for breakfast.

The only thing bad about this place is they only serve pork meat.
They need to add a beef bacon and turkey sausage to the menu. No turkey bacon please.
