I had a very bad experience. My food never arrived. When I tried to cancel or find out what happened I was accused of being rude and disrespectful I was simply asking what had happened and corrected him (Josh) when he said there was an number mix up, which was not true because a colleague had previously shown me the correct order. I was ignored, disrespected and mistreated. No client should ever be accused while the waiter victimizes himself. He did not apologize for the poor service and I never got my food or my money back. Will never step foot in there again and advise not to go.

Went after the marathon, during playoffs, so it was busy! But the line to order drinks was orderly, and the staff went as quick as they could with a smile on their face. Burger was real good, as were cauliflower bites.. the one con: parking is incredibly difficult: limited lot and street not conducive, so maybe ride share.

We love everything about this place. It is the perfect spot to go any time and to celebrate any occasion. The food is great but one of our favorite things is just go for drinks and appetizers and seat outdoor. I love that people bring their dogs. Wish more neighborhoods will have options like this one.

Horrible service from start to finish. Parking is an absolute nightmare, and they are completely unorganized. Do NOT reserve with them , they will cancel on you with no warning and take zero accountability. Extremely unprofessional and frustrating experience. Never again.

My birthday reservation was cancelled just two days before my event—even though the invitations had already gone out. I originally made the reservation in person, but when I called later to confirm, they didn’t have it, so I had to make it again. Weeks passed with everything confirmed, and then—just two days before my event—they call me to cancel; Kevin said it was an “internal miscommunication” issue and that unfortunately they couldn’t honor it due to the volume of customers they expect on Saturdays.

The fact that they preferred to cancel on a confirmed customer just two days before the event is honestly unbelievable. I’m not sure if it was incompetence or if they simply didn’t like my last name. This place used to be good, but after an experience like this, I won’t be returning.

Also, please address the parking situation—cars park right on the corner of the intersection, and it’s a public safety issue that could easily cause an accident.

Down The Street is a reliable gem that captures the best of Houston's relaxed neighborhood dining scene. It's a fantastic spot for brunch, a weekday happy hour, or a casual dinner. If you prioritize a great outdoor space, friendly service, and creative comfort food, this place is a must-visit.

Bartenders were amazing. Bartender from Mexico and a young woman (recommended the smash burger meal) provided great service for my first night in Houston from New Jersey. I’ll be back here for sure next time I’m in Houston for sure.

Cool spot that evolves as the evening progresses. Happy hour is pretty good with several different style of drinks on special. Parking can be an issue with the limited spots. Inside and outside seating typically available.

Neighborhood bar. Allow dogs in the patio. Chill vibes. Tiny mini parking spot.
