Bartenders were amazing. Bartender from Mexico and a young woman (recommended the smash burger meal) provided great service for my first night in Houston from New Jersey. I’ll be back here for sure next time I’m in Houston for sure.

Cool spot that evolves as the evening progresses. Happy hour is pretty good with several different style of drinks on special. Parking can be an issue with the limited spots. Inside and outside seating typically available.

Food and beverages were fantastic as well as the service being outstanding. Excellent place to enjoy high-end bar food that is not expensive as well as viewing any game that you could possibly enjoy.

My friend found this cute neighborhood spot online while visiting Houston. We arrived a few minutes after they opened and they were busy. There was no host and only 2 servers at the bar trying to handle everything.
I originally ordered a dish that was supposed to be a French toast, but it was not good. The toast was super sweet and drenched in syrup. It was topped with fresh fruit that had a sweet cream drizzled all over-talk about sugar overload. I asked the server a bit more about the dish before ordering and she what she described was not accurate.
After an attempt to eat the sugary dish, I took it back.
She accused me of eating half the dish, when half of the toast was only eaten and some of the fruit. The bacon was still in tact.
The waitress takes my dish to the manager in the back, and after a few minutes she comes back with the dish saying my dish could not be returned. Because the turnaround was so quick, I asked to speak with the manager. Visibly frustrated at this point, she goes on a search for the manager, but not in the back where she supposedly searched minutes ago. In walks a guy who looks like he was just coming to work and she speaks to him. He allows me to exchange my dish, I thank him, but offers a reprimand of sorts on ordering next time. Excuse me! Needless to say, I will not be back.
My friends enjoyed their dishes and my lavender infused latte was good, but not enough for a return visit.
Down the Street is a cute, quaint spot, but they could stand a few lessons in customer service.

They are a cashless establishment .
This place is a hidden Gem. One of my favorite bars in Houston. The food is good, the beer on tap is always excellent, and a great atmosphere. Lots of seating and TVs everywhere, it’s perfect for a Friday night hangout or to watch a big game. Bartenders are very nice and are happy to change the TV for any game.
