7/7/25: The is a Vietnamese speciality shop that specializes in traditional pork nem chua, chả ốc (pork sausage with eacargot), chả lụa (pork sausage), several chè (dessert), etc.
My favorites:
1. Nem chua - I have tasted many versions of nem chua in many states, from deli to homemade, made with beef and pork, but this place is my favorite place that makes nem chua.
2. Chả Ốc - The escargot pork sausage here has a pleasant herbal fragrant of lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves, hint with a spicy kick of black peppercorn. I can taste the bits of escargot in every bite.
3. Chè khoai môn is a dessert made with sweet glutinous rice, coconut milk, and taro.

Best place to get cha lua. No other place can make it like them in Texas. I’d buy huge batches at a time to freeze at home. Cash only

Duc Huong Gio Cha is my go-to spot for fresh and delicious Vietnamese hams. They offer a fantastic variety, and every time I’m in town, I make sure to pick some up as gifts for friends and family. The quality is consistently excellent, with hot and fresh hams available every morning.
If you’re planning to buy in bulk, make sure to come early—by the evening, they often sell out! The freshness and flavor make it well worth the trip.
However, keep in mind that the store is very small, and there’s often a long line with limited space to wait. Also, they only accept cash, so be prepared. Despite these minor inconveniences, the amazing quality of their hams keeps me coming back every time!

The overwhelming variety of dishes and foot traffic gives the impression (and hope) of yumminess. But I have been disappointed by most of the dishes I tried.

The GOAT of Vietnamese mystery lunch meats. For those not in the know, Gio/Cha is basically the equivalent of Vietnamese balogna. It's ground pork and chicken steams in banana leaves.

It's not delicious but welcoming guests is like chasing guests away.
Service was very fast. The Chả was still piping hot and fresh.
