We went to this place on the last Sunday around 8:30am and the place already packed with people, they have a lot of sweat deserts home made chè, one thing stands out about this place was the cashier at checkout are very friendly and happy helping for the older folks carry the baskets of items to the their cash registers ,we don't live in Houston but every time we in town, we always stop there for a treat, very highly recommend.

Che, coffee, banh tiêu are good here. Go early, they run out of the popular items if you go in the afternoon. Great snack foods.

Excellent, authentic, and affordable Vietnamese bakery foods.

Knowing Vietnamese is very useful here. Staff is VERY limited in English.

Come here around 10 AM. We came at 3 PM and they were sold out of most of everything (they close at 6 PM).

Huge variety of food. The staff are patient with non-Vietnamese speakers (like me), and I found that other customers are willing to step-in and translate when needed.

Perfect choice for dessert lovers: Che Hue dessert $5. Store is fully packed at weekend yet long lines are so quickly clear with prompt services. Highly recommend!

I got the durian Che and did not like it. Maybe I ordered wrong so I think I need to try again.

Đức Phương Thạch Chè is a famous Vietnamese dessert restaurant in Houston, Texas. I often come here to buy their Vietnamese sweet desserts and some foods to go such as Vietnamese ham, spring rolls, shrimp salad, Vietnamese sandwiches, fruit smoothies, iced tea with boba, etc. They are always friendly and nice to the customers. Their service is so professional beyond my expectations. They have all kinds of Vietnamese varieties of bean desserts. If you would like to have some Vietnamese Chè, then I would highly recommend that you come here.

I’m not here to bash the food as it was ok, but what deserves the 1-star review is the blatant disregard the owner/employee had towards me and my baby. I came in and placed an order and while chatting with an elderly lady, a “auntie”, she leaned down and kissed my 9 month old baby who was facing forward in a baby carrier. I asked her not to do that and she replied with that she was giving the baby “good luck”. When my food was ready I went to grab it and to my surprise she leaned in a kissed my baby again!!!!! Same excuse when I asked her not to do that “I’m giving the baby good luck”. Lo and behold the next day my baby ended up having a fever that ended up with 2 Dr visits and 4 days of pumping them full of ibuprofen and Tylenol to finally break their fever. Maybe it was coincidence but this interaction in every sense was inappropriate and really off putting that their employee would think it was ok to blatantly ignore my wishes as a parent and paying customer.

With the very recent outbreak of measles in TX, RSV and Flu going around, it’s not just something I’m overreacting about as the safety of my child is the utmost priority and I would’ve never thought it would be up for debate when I came into this establishment. Just something to think about and be weary of if you decide to shop here.

Lots of daily premade vietnamese street food, but you need to get there early as they do sell out. Their vegetarian spring rolls are excellent! Even if you aren't a vegetarian I would encourage you to try and they are so good! Pork baos are also good. Plenty of sweet desert options as well as banh mi station and boba/coffee station.

Prices are very competitive for the area. Def worth a stop!
