My family and I absolutely love this retaurant, whether we're popping in for a bite or ordering take out. Some of our favorites are the chicken soup dumplings and minced duck lettuce wraps. We are so glad to have such a good spot within a couple minutes drive of our home.

Food was good just on the smaller side
Chicken extremely salty. Dumplings Not made in-house. Very overpriced
I'm still on the hunt for a great Asian restaurant, since my go-to spot permanently closed a few months ago. 🥹
My husband and I decided to try Duck n BÃ o after finding them on a Google search for the best Chinese spots in Houston.
This location is small, cozy and had moderate to low noise. The customer service was good bc we had an attentive waitress.
The food wasn't bad. I enjoyed the crispy chicken rolls & my flaming jumbo shrimp dish, but the beef fried rice that my husband ordered was more gummy/mushy than fried. He ate it, but indicated he wouldn't be rushing back for it.
Pricing was somewhat reasonable, though my shrimp dish was a little pricey ($22) for 7-8 shrimp with veggies.
I may give it another try, but it definitely looks like we're still in search of another spot similar to or better than our former fave.
Disappointed with their Peking duck and xiao long bao.
Xiao long bao
The skin of the xiao long bao is too thick. The texture tastes like steamed buns with yeast in the flour mixture. Xiao long bao’s skin should be paper thin.
Issues with their Peking duck:
1. Skin not crispy and too small. They should cut the duck skin into larger rectangles.
2. The duck wasn’t cut properly. The skin and meat should be cut and served separately. They could’ve cooked another dish with the duck meat.
3. Their line cooks do not have the basic knife skills to cut cucumbers into perfect juliennes. The cucumber strips are jagged, irregular, and have different shapes and widths.
4. The chefs at the window are Mexicans, not Chinese, which reflect in their food.
I had high hope on them after reading reviews and recommendations online. While their food is not bad and I’ll eat it, it’s nowhere nearly as good as their rave reviews.
Amazing customer service and food. Swat made sure we had a great time and enjoyed our Time there. Will definitely come back.
Get the fried rice on the menu!

Katherine was so helpful and attentive. We are regulars here and felt appreciated as always. She greeted us with a warm welcome and checked on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed, but not too overwhelming. The food, as always, was top-notch, and we were happy to meet Katherine who was so professional.

Have been a few times and had excellent dishes and some disappointing ones. Favorites are the crispy spicy chicken, Peking duck, and all the dumplings. The wontons and noodles were not my favorite.
