Poor service, bad taste in food, and items on menu not available. I would not bother ever visiting here because it will be a waste of time and money. The quality of meat was not a good cut or well cooked. Spicy chicken was mostly other than chicken like peppers and baby corn. The noodles were dry and stuck together. The broccoli that came with the shrimp was simply boiled. No seasoning at all. The shrimp itself was slightly seasoned and sweet. The only fair dish we had.
My wife passed by this restaurant the week of September 28, 2020, and saw a sign that the restaurant has been locked up due to non-payment of rent of approximately $225,000. It is extremely unfortunate, as the food here was outstanding, but I suppose the diminished foot traffic in the mall, along with the decline in the number of occupants in the office buildings attached to the mall contributed to their business.
Great food with rich flavors that’s consistent in its taste. Look no further if you’re in the area when you’re looking for a Cantonese fix which is rare in Houston! Those who comment about high prices would one day appreciate the efforts and freshness that comes in preparing such quality food.
Authentic Cantonese and Chinese food. It’s our go to Chinese restaurant for soup dumplings and pan fried pork dumplings. We even bring our out-of-town guests to this restaurant when they requested Chinese food. My husband really likes their snow pea leaf in garlic sauce and beef ho fun in xo sauce. While it is inside the galleria, it is close to the parking garage and makes a quick and easy way for us to eat at the restaurant even when we are not shopping.
To begin with the menus and tables were dirty. I ordered the Tom yum soup which tasted like hot tap water with hardened shrimp. Spring rolls were dripping in oil, and shrimp dumplings falling apart. I’ve eaten before a few years ago and they’ve really gone downhill.
Hidden gem with great options. Eclectic menu. The largest pan-fried dumplings around.
When I travel to Houston.
Excellent food and staff was very so courteous.
This place is a gem inside a mall. There are essentially two types of food on the menu: Westernized Chinese & Authentic Hong Kong Style Cuisine. I'm so glad we came with our friend who knew what to order. The plates were a little pricey but well worth the clean and nicely presented dishes. We really wish they had more pictures so we can come without our friend. :)
I lived in HK for 35 years and ate a number of Chinese dinners. So I am a good non Chinese critic of Chinese food I think. I arrived in Houston last night and wandered around the Galleria which is always a good intro to Texas. I passed by e-Tao and saw there was hot n sour soup and crispy fried eggplant on the menu. Inside I saw it could have been in a Hk street. But the two dishes, some white rice and a pot of bo lai tea were delicious. And the whole meal came to $26 with a tip. I went to bed happy, much happier than I felt earlier in the day when I couldn’t find my luggage.

Small quiet restaurant with excellent food. I've been there approximately 20-25 times and have never been dissatisfied. Food and customer service is always on point.
I always get Oolong Green hot tea and the Dim Sum Sampler. Everyone else's food always looks delicious as well. It's a narrow hole-in-the-wall inside of a huge mall, but is definitely a good place for a unique dining experience.
We only had the xiaolongbao and shumai here but both were satisfying, juicy and flavorful as they should be. Will return to try more dishes.
Water dumplings were excellent! A great place to get good chinese food inside a mall.
Food and service are good but a little overpriced. I ordered orange chicken. The portion is big for one person.
