Poor service, bad taste in food, and items on menu not available. I would not bother ever visiting here because it will be a waste of time and money. The quality of meat was not a good cut or well cooked. Spicy chicken was mostly other than chicken like peppers and baby corn. The noodles were dry and stuck together. The broccoli that came with the shrimp was simply boiled. No seasoning at all. The shrimp itself was slightly seasoned and sweet. The only fair dish we had.

This place is definitely a gem. I've been going here for years, very authentic and varied menu. Unfortunately it's been closed down, but I do hope it comes back or at least let us know where they relocated. I've met the owner several times, a really nice and stand up guy.

Bummed this place is gone. Been going for years...great food & great service. Galleria management seem like some real cold hearted bastards. E-Tao has been there for many years and doing well. So they've struggled. I get it you got to close them down. But then you have to air their problems to the public by posting it on the freaking door? Don't care if it's procedure or whatever. It's wack low and disgusting. Galleria SUCKS!!!!

Bummer. Locked out by the landlord for nonpayment of rent. Another restaurant bites the dust thanks to the Covid lockdown. Hoping it will one day return as it actually served decent Chinese food inside the Galleria.

My wife passed by this restaurant the week of September 28, 2020, and saw a sign that the restaurant has been locked up due to non-payment of rent of approximately $225,000. It is extremely unfortunate, as the food here was outstanding, but I suppose the diminished foot traffic in the mall, along with the decline in the number of occupants in the office buildings attached to the mall contributed to their business.

Unfortunately, mall management has locked E-Tao out of its space, with a sign that the restaurant has been closed and locked out due to non-payment of rent of roughly $225,000. This is unfortunate, as the food, in our opinion, was outstanding. Apparently, the loss of occupancy in buildings attached to the mall, combined with the decline in foot traffic in the mall combined to cause E-Tao's management to decide paying the rent was not necessary.

Great food with rich flavors that’s consistent in its taste. Look no further if you’re in the area when you’re looking for a Cantonese fix which is rare in Houston! Those who comment about high prices would one day appreciate the efforts and freshness that comes in preparing such quality food.

Sat down,,placed order, only be told they were out of xiao long bao. Very sad, as that's why drove all that way, wish their site would have mentioned that. Hot and sour soup was OK, fried rice was good but lacked flavor. This is our 9th time here but the food quality has dropped tremendously

Food is delicious! The only restaurant we go to when we're shopping in the Galleria! Fried rice tastes exactly like the fried rice In East Asia. Shumai (pork and shrimp dumpling is amazing!

Authentic Cantonese and Chinese food. It’s our go to Chinese restaurant for soup dumplings and pan fried pork dumplings. We even bring our out-of-town guests to this restaurant when they requested Chinese food. My husband really likes their snow pea leaf in garlic sauce and beef ho fun in xo sauce. While it is inside the galleria, it is close to the parking garage and makes a quick and easy way for us to eat at the restaurant even when we are not shopping.

I miss the dumplings, crispy noodles and bubble tea very much. Would be ordering to go but mall is closed totally. Looking forward to one day seeing the friendly faces again

Love this place, I love coming by on the weekend and grabbing some dim sum! If you come solo it's not necessarily the cheapest place but I usually just get shrimp dumplings for about $7.00. Wonton soup was a little lack-luster, but otherwise the food is genuine and delicious

To begin with the menus and tables were dirty. I ordered the Tom yum soup which tasted like hot tap water with hardened shrimp. Spring rolls were dripping in oil, and shrimp dumplings falling apart. I’ve eaten before a few years ago and they’ve really gone downhill.

Hidden gem with great options. Eclectic menu. The largest pan-fried dumplings around.
