Cake slice was dry and pretty flavorless. The buttercream has no sweetness to it.

I absolutely love Eat Cake! I felt so happy just being in there; the atmosphere is lovely, and the worker who served me was incredibly friendly and helpful.

I tried a few different things, and everything was exceptional. The Strawberry N’ Cream slice was light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. The Chocolate Chip cookie was massive and baked to perfection—crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. I also had a slice of the flourless cake, which was incredibly rich, fudgy, and decadent.

The quality is so high that I’ve already decided I definitely want my birthday cake from here! Truly a gem in The Heights.

We were celebrating my finance's birthday this weekend. We normally do Windfield's Chocolate Bar, but I found Eat Cake online and thought we would give it a try. We ordered the German Chocolate Cake and the Blueberry Cheesecake.

The cheesecake was the best of the two items. It was smooth and creamy and had a fantastic taste. There was something there I could not pinpoint, like maybe citrus zest in the filling. It was really fresh. The blueberry compote and fresh berries made it complete and added to the complex flavor. The slice was $12.

The item that really missed the mark was the chocolate cake. It was pre-sliced and sitting behind the counter. Perhaps that is what lent to the dry texture of the cake. The German frosting was good and was the only moisture to be found. I believe the slice was $15.

I must say, when you walk into the place you see all these tall cakes and are waiting for a great experience. But, when the lady behind the counter simply pulls something already sliced, it lost a lot of appeal. I should have turned around and left.

When you go to Winfield's, the whole trip inside is part of the experience. There are so many choices available. You wait in line and watch what others order. The attendants pull the whole cake from the cooler and slice the item right in front of you. They package it up then and there. I know for the chocolate cakes, you can also request toffee bits and caramel topping for no additional charge. The slices are probably 1.5 times larger for about the same price. A totally better experience.

I’ve order a few cakes from here and they are good. But prices are insane - today I stopped for one slice of cheesecake and on slice of chocolate cake $27!!! Too expensive. Should’ve gotten a whole cake from HEB instead.

Everything here is so good! I’ve had most of their cookies, their Biscoff cheesecake, and Thai boba tea But I came to write this Review specifically for the Dubai chubby cookie. It is 1000/10! I mean so good I could come back here every day just for this cookie!!!!

I purchased two banana puddings, and both were past their prime! The bananas were black, and the wafers were extremely soggy. I'm very disappointed considering how much I paid.

I might die for a slice of the maple pecan cake. Such great service and the cake truly tastes homemade, not a box cake like most bakeries! Cant wait to visit again!!
