First time attending. Went for Sunday brunch. We walked in waiting to be seated no one at host stand. Ladies at the bar said seat yourself, then a man asked if we had reservations , we did so I showed him my phone with it. It took a while for our waiter , although the place was not busy at all. Then the waiter acted like she didn't even know what some items on the menu where and what came with the order. They were out of a good amount of food, so some things on the menu we couldn't order. . The food had no taste to it. The music was too loud, like a bar setting. Lights were dim way too low. It was nice atmosphere but I just did not like the vibes to it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I do not plan on going back.

When the waitress finally came to the table she asked what were we drinking but assured us that food would take over an hour. For that we passed on food but ordered drinks. She then disappeared and after 20 mins we left. The bar sits in the front so because we didn't see her return it was pointless to wait. This was not a busy night. It was a Saturday but it was about 5 tables with people sitting. Never again!

I made a reservation on 11/20 for my birthday Friday December 9th at 7pm. When my party & I arrived to the “restaurant” it was closed. Imagine being dressed ready to dine in with a party of 10 for your 30th birthday and upon arrival all of the lights are out, the doors are locked, and there's not a single car in the parking lot. There was a man at the door of Ebony House of Vibes, which is the lounge connected to the restaurant so I told him about my reservation and asked where everyone was but he couldn't give me a straight forward answer. I honestly don't even think this is a legitimate business.

Overall it was good to be my first time. The vibes were amazing the Dj was over the top meaning damn good. Get me in good spirits. Also Brandon was good with checking and keeping the business running with a steady flow. I believe the bartender name was rhia not sure but she had redish hair she is amazing.At first I was like i don’t think I’ll come back but I might just give them another shot.Food came out super slow turned out to be good. Ugh, this deserves a 2, but the hospitality and the server was so good. The DJ was also good! She didn’t blast us with rap at first, she laid the R&B on thick for us! I’m going to make an assumption that they weren’t prepared for the crowd they got.Cons:-We didn’t find out that they were out of things until they came to bring other friends their food. You should know what’s on your menu ahead of taking orders.-The stuffed French toast was just French toast sticks with fruit sauce on the side.-Plates we served without all the sides.-Friend ordered steak, but 6 of the 7 people had their dishes already before they came out and told her that and asked for another dish option. We were here at that point for an hour and a half.Pros:-Free hookah til 3PM & the hookah gentleman made sure he changed your coals / your hookah was hitting. He clearly explained that the free hookah stops at 3PM.-Our server was professional and helpful-The vibe was really good. I danced and ate, and didn’t feel shamed for it or have folks cutting their eyes.-Free parking!-First come, first served.-No strict dress code. This mattered because all of my clothes are packed up for a move and my bestie came out of town last minute to help me in the house, so brunch was a last minute invite and we were dressed down (think t-shirt and shorts).Overall, I’d come back to give them another chance!

Attended a Bridal Shower brunch... I ordered the Kajun Chicken & Waffles to be safe... Food was just "okay"... Took FOREVER to bring my order... Only came when I asked that it be cancelled because of the delay. The place was not packed so I couldn't understand the lag in service time... Our waitress did her best considering the constraints... Probably won't go back or recommend to anyone else.

The day we had a reservation for 8 PM I called to let them know I was running a couple minutes late, literally and they indicated that their 730 didn't show up and they decided to close down before I arrived. I got there at 8:03 and it looked like they had been closed for hours by this time. They didn't even bother to call me about the reservation that I had to let us know that the establishment was closing. I would never suggest anyone to go to a establishment that doesn't keep their customers at the center.

I was reading the reviews so I wanted to make a review... so the PROS: Jasmine was our server she was great... 3 of our meals was good and HOT... CONS chicken and waffles the chicken wasn't completely done and JUMBO wings . Also not everybody like all that topping on their waffle it makes it soggy.... the events section area has an odor also it looks dirty... over all this place I would visit again when I visit Houston....

No one attended to for 30 minutes. When they did come , we were told that the menu was unavailable and that they we're only serving chicken and waffles, and lamb chops. We looked around and seen other people had different food. We asked why we couldnt order off the full menu the waitress rolled her eyes and walked off. I'll never go to this place again. The music was horrible. They literally played Eminem the entire time. I like Eminem but not his entire album.

When they finally got themselves together the waitress came over took our order. The food was cold. Grits is a no. Lamb chops a no. Oxtail a no. Collard greens a no. Basically we sent the food back paid for some water down drinks and left. The music in the party area was too loud and ridiculous at least have it closed off from the restaurant. This ain't the spot!.

I was invited to this establishment for a brunch that was supposed to start at 2pm. It's 5pm and part of the group still hasn't got their food. They didn't have all the entrees on the menu. The whole experience was horrible. I won't ever come to this establishment again. Many of the other guests either left or cancelled their order because it took entirely too long.
I was there for my sister Birthday Party and everything was on point. The Chef was awesome, he was the only cook but he did his thing! Everything was seasoned to perfection and you can tell he cooked with his soul. I had the lamb chops, seafood rolls, garlic parm/jerk wings, oxtails and I enjoyed every bite. You will not be disappointed at all! Big Shoutout to the Chef that held us down on this past Saturday night!
