I love going to El Rey Taqueria after my hikes at Memorial Park. Nothing like a couple Vegan Cuban tacos after an arduous walk in the Texas heat! Light and fresh, but packs generous protein with the black beans! Yum!

The roasted chicken and shrimp salad was delicious, with a great combination of flavors and generous portions. However, the dining area is rather small and can become quite crowded, making it more suitable for takeout orders. The service was satisfactory. However, it would be beneficial if the staff had a more comprehensive understanding of the menu items.
I ordered two tacos one cuban taco, one rotisserie chicken taco flour tortilla and they were both cold and old tortillas. The food really has no real flavor to it .This was my first and last time eating at this establishment. I thought I would try it because I live just walking distance from this place but I know now the food quality is poor and the food temperature was cold and most items are very overpriced, go somewhere else you will find better food elsewhere. Bye. The food really Sucks. Prices way out of range and I know your trying to cover your overhead but just close down and go out of business do everyone a favor.

I told the lady in front that my chicken was overcooked (the wings couldn't even be eaten, they were meatless and everything stuck to the bone and the chicken was completely dehydrated) and I showed her there and her response was Now I tell them and he left, and continued with his things. It seems to me that the situation was mishandled since the chicken was not given as a gift, one pays for a service and expects something good in return. I hope they have better food and customer service management.
Today I ordered Cuban food through the Dordash application and everything was in very good condition, the food was very delicious, and with a very good flavor.

I ordered on-line thru the El Rey Taqueria website with ease. I didn’t have to wait long in the drive thru, although the street entrance is tight so be careful pulling in. The food is always great here, I highly recommend.
