So disappointed. I've been eating at El Rey's for years. And typically love their food. However when I spend $14 for a salad and they want to charge $2.71 for an extra dressing when the one they gave was nowhere near enough for the size of the salad. They have lost a long time customer. Once I opened the dressing it had the top third missing....... Ugh

Completely inept employees. Guy at the register seems half baked, can't hear or understand order, regardless of how many times you tell him. YOU must check your order bc the boneheads working here won't give you everything you paid for. Had to tell them several times on order, still got home to see they forgot 4 orders of plantains. So incompetent, it's almost intentional. Better luck at Sheppard location.

Food is great. Service is ok but there is no speed in the front of the house. Taco gets made but sits waiting for someone to bag it and pass it to the customer. Maybe a little sense of urgency for customers trying to get to work.
El Rey is always solid. Great food at a reasonable price. Their chicken tortilla soup is delicious, as well as their tortas and sandwiches. It's not on the menu anymore, but if you ask for the "Hot Acapulco" sandwich they will still make it.(Rotissery chicken with cheese and avocado)
This is quick and pretty tasty. If you want a quick Cuban flavor on the fly, this is it. The food is good.

Drove here to get food and was deeply disappointed that the chicken was basically microwaved bag chicken that was added to my taco and taco salad. For a restaurant to brand as Spanish but serve convenience store style food is a shame.I could have just made that at home.
