Best margs and fajitas! Service was great, and when they got busy, they did not rush our table to leave.

Classic Tex Mex spot with Super-Ritas (2-3 you’ll be feeling it), great fajita meat, and delicious homemade tortillas and salsas.

Wait can be tough during peak hours. Surprisingly we were able to get in at 515 with 11 adults/kids on a Thursday.

They put us in the back almost by ourselves, which was nice to let the kids run around and only bother other families.

Service was solid and timely. Went for lunch recently as well and had a good experience. Would def go again

Kid-friendliness: Friendly if you go early. I could see it being difficult if packed and not a lot of room for the kids to explore

THIS PLACE HAS BECOME AN ABSOLUTE DUMPSTER FIRE. DO NOT GO. Talk about the demise of what used to be a cherished houston institution. We have been going here for 15 years, brought our work organizations business, had our rehearsal dinner here, and spent countless family celebrations at this location. Service is a joke after they fired some of the oldest, most kind, and caring servers (see you at Armando’s now Tito!). Managers clearly have their own agenda which isn’t service or a quality experience. The lack of authenticity is so uncomfortable and makes the whole experience sad. What you get for the money is absurd. After spending hundreds of dollars there this weekend, the servers threw away most of our leftover food instead of packing it up like we asked since they just really couldn’t be bothered. What waste. The kitchen is still trying their best and I wish for their sakes they had better stewards for this restaurant.

This place used to go above and beyond and instead the owners have preferred to watch it be driven into the ground by suspect managers. They probably will still get the volume they need to stay open for a long time but save yourself the heartbreak over seeing its collapsed state and just go to Candente instead!! They now far outpace El T in both quality and experience!!!!

Came to El Tiempo Cantina with high expectations! While the food was beautifully presented, the flavors fell a bit flat for me. I was hoping for more seasoning and a spicier kick. The service was great!

I use to love this place I took a lot of people with me here. Spent a lot of money here had plenty of big birthdays here. But from this point on I will make it my duty to make sure no one ever eats here again that I know. You fire the Number 1 who was loyal to you for years I will make sure other people he knew reads this and never come back here again. If this is how you run your business then I rather give my money to another Restaurant.

The food tasted great, the portions are hearty but so are the prices. Plenty of seating inside with a nice old Mexico theme decor. Few parking spots available, so most people will use their valet service.

El Tiempo is a fantastic spot for authentic Tex-Mex with a great atmosphere and top-notch service. Their Fajitas Mix (Chicken & Beef) is a must-try—perfectly seasoned, tender, and served sizzling with all the classic sides. Whether you’re dining in or ordering to-go, the flavors never disappoint. Highly recommended!

my favorite place to eat, you feel welcome from the moment you leave your car with the valet, they greet you with a smile, the most recommended filet mignon fagitas, and the strong margaritas, and dont forget to grab some chrrus desert.
