Small base with ID card facility. Wait list is long and appointments fill up quickly but the staff is nice.

Retirement day/October 12. 2024 was a complete disaster. It was a complete waste of my limited, valuable time. The flyer falsely advertised services that were not available due to a failure to anticipate having additional personnel on duty to support retirees. Please stop doing these events. Be honest in how you advertise and do it by appointment only through appointment software/your website. When the slots are filled, they are filled. We deserve better.

I live directly under the landing pattern and it’s awesome getting to see vipers and T-38’s all the time. Thank y’all for your service ??

In October 2023, got my new military ID card. Was in and out in 20 minutes plus 5 minutes of chitchat with the wonderful young man that helped me. They gave me the new version of the ID card. Mine was expiring. It’s a nice card. ?

Drove 45 minutes there with my wife. We had both registered with that base to utilize the PX there about a year ago. I was told my information was expired and also that I would not have escorting privileges to bring my wife inside. That the information was handled wrong. They fixed my information so that I could go in, however, I had to make my wife wait at the visitors control center while I picked up a few things at the PX. What happened? Did Ellington Field JRB stop allowing spouses of service connected veterans access? Surprise surprise....There was nobody at the VCC to talk to about this as the guard walked over to tell me. I was not second guessing his authority, however, I just wanted to get the explanation from somebody at the VCC. I get that all base regulations vary from base to base but this was a huge disappointment over a visit to the PX and frustrating since we had registered a year ago and my wife could go with me. But not this time or ever again?

Nice show very crowded everywhere you need to arrive very early to see the training chow for the children so pay or stay outside
