This place is the best. We come here every week. The food is great, but the people are even better. Caesar was a fantastic server. He treated us with nothing but respect even though we had a crying newborn. Leylis is an amazing manager and was awesome. She came and talked to us and was great with our kids. I will continue coming here every week and eating the delicious food and enjoying the company

A wonderful dining experience with delicious food. As I was in town to meet with colleagues, I ordered the classic beef fajitas. The tortillas were superb and so light. I had the beef was cooked to perfection...juicy, tender and flavored just right. I had to take the rest back to my hotel and that's right...I had a fajita for breakfast and lunch the next day. If you want traditional authentic Tex-mex then this IS the place.

We have been coming here for lunch for the last 3 years or so. Edger's AMAZING service and margaritas keep us coming back!! He's the best!! We have been made to feel like family by he, Cynthia and Leylis, just to name a few. They are wonderful, helpful, and caring people who take great pride in their work, they are literally the reasons we come here at least once, usually twice lol!, a week.. it's like going to visit friends with great food and drinks. Recently the music has changed and that is odd... but other than that it's a great atmosphere.

Love Escalante's. Usually visit the Memorial location but also like Voss and Highland Village. Excited that they have put carne guisada back on the menu, it's the best I have had anywhere (except perhaps your mother's kitchen). Food quality and the service is always consistent. The atmosphere is great and the patio is very comfortable.

***** WARNING ****** WARNING ****** WARNING ******* If you call in to order fajitas by the pound (no rice, no beans, no fixings) they no longer come with tortillas as they have for 20 years. Unfortunately, the order taker did not mention this and I did not find out until I got home. Called and they apologized and I went back and got tortillas. They just need to do a bit of training on the to go order takers. All in all a bit strange to sell fajitas without tortillas, so please let people know

One of my favorite lunch spots in the city center area. Typically just grab a seat at the bar when I pop in for lunch. Great lunch menu selection that has a little bit of everything. They also offer their full menu at lunch if you want something that is not on the lunch menu. Edgar is the bartender during the day and does a great job even when the bar is full also has made a couple of great suggestions on the menu that I would not have typically ordered. He also keeps my glass of whatever I am drinking full. Pretty casual atmosphere with 2 TVs in the bar. Great option for anyone wanting quality Mexican food. Food comes out quickly if you are in a hurry but if you want to stay a while and relax they definitely do not rush you.
As always the food was great. We love having lunch at the bar on Saturdays. Thanks to Edgar J. for always being attentive and remembering what we like. Always a pleasure!

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Instead of handing you a check, they jam a handheld PC in your face with the GRATUITY ALREADY INCLUDED...they don't give you the the option to think it over or change it because the server is standing there in a defensive posture with arms crossed watching, waiting and daring you to do something other than approve it. Rude and a ripoff. This has happened twice now. Eat elsewhere. You'll thank me later.

Everything... smh. The audacity of the members of the kitchen to send me such a horrendous order via Uber eats. No shade to Uber eats but the fact that the kitchen approved and sent the order to a paying customer is absurd and quite disrespectful. I ordered the empanada meal that comes with rice and beans. This had happened multiple times with no solution. Every single last piece of food, except for the pico de gallo was absolutely shite. The fact that I wasted my money/ time on such a mediocre meal for me and others, we all agreed that this was pitiful. Food was dry/ non seasoned and cold, had to reheat and try to eat not even finish the food... the restaurant was only 15 min away. We all like the restaurant but they have deeply disappointed. -1.

This is our go-to for delicious and authentic Tex-mex, with impeccable service and a great patio. From the fresh salads to the economical lunch specials (get the combo number 8) to awesome fajitas and spicy margaritas, this place is a home run. My favorite server is Leylis- she is always welcoming and kind...and she remembers things like I like my extra creamy cilantro dressing on the side, and brings without even asking. Run, don't walk to eat here and ask for Leylis- you wont be disappointed!
