The food was great! The service was poor. Our server Roberto took about 5 minutes to come out and our drinks were empty, empty plates from our appetizers remained on the table until main dishes came out. The sad thing is they were not busy at all for the service to be so poor!

Where do I start... We went for lunch and there have been some rain and there was a puddle right left to the front door entrance. Restaurant was pretty much empty. I got the trout and I could only taste grease. Horrible. Will never return, not worth. Prices are expensive for that level of food. If this were some joint in Galveston I might understand the breaded trout full of grease, but... it's Houston and it was supposed to be nice. Do not waste your time (nor money).

It’s very rare that my family all agree on their impression of the food, service and atmosphere of a restaurant but in this case we all give Eugene’s 5 stars. A special mention to the hostess and waitstaff who were all accommodating and very attentive. The food was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and the aesthetic was celebratory and comfortable. We are already thinking about corporate dinners as there is a nice wine list and something sure to please everyone!

Always fresh and perfectly seasoned seafood! We love the Oyster Bar, the Weekend Brunches and the large selection of seafood dinners. My favorite is the Redfish Filet grilled over oak and hickory. Can't be beat!

Took myself on a solo date before heading over to River Oaks Theater for a documentary Q&A. Perfect location. I had the happy hour oysters, crab cakes, and a Sazerac. Definitely hit the spot. The bartender was welcoming and created a tasty cocktail. The crab cakes are thinner than a usual crab cake, which is not a complaint. Less breading and more flavor!

Great spot for seafood. The waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. All the food was good but would say the best was the corn and crab bisque. The crab cakes are also really good and flavorful. The Chilean Sea Bass was grilled perfectly along with the green beans; however, I wasn't a big fan of the sauce on the fish so would ask for a butter sauce next time. Overall, a good first experience.

Came for an impromptu lunch - just trying out the place because it’s close by. Has an old school vibe to it and sat at the bar for lunch. Ordered the stuffed shrimp with onion rings and dirty rice. All of the food was good. The shrimp (2) were enough because they were truly stuffed - minimal breading and lightly fried. I think the O rings are a big deal - they’re definitely good and they served plenty. Had the house Pinot g which was perfectly fine as well.
