Feel like country store as it has all the old fashion candies & cookies i geew up with.Normally I'd give cafe a 5 star but for the 1st time, the mustard greens were GRITTY ??! YA they were NOT washed very well.i ended up throwing them out; should've gotten the cabbage.Everything else was point on.

Usually the food be on point! ... NOT TODAY! The greens were tough AND bitter (no flavor), the black-eyed peas were BLAND (no flavor), in fact, they were WATERY ? Only thing really worth mentioning, was the gravy for the beef tips, and I still had to "doctors THOSE up to make them DECENT for CONSUMPTION! Yeah, they let me down today?

Very friendly people. But the chitterlings was very pricey. Like $30 a plate! So I got a 8oz and meat loaf dinner for my daughter. It's was just okay. They could have at least served fresh Greens. For that price, i rather eat at a 4 star restaurant.

Had a bad experience with the lady who works at the cash register at the front. She started an argument with me and my husband, over nothing. Even followed us outside and continued the nonsense. She should of been fired right then, but the personal did nothing. The money we spend at this location and to be treated like that. They don't have to worry about seeing us again. The food us to be good. "WARNING, AVOID THIS PLACE."

I really don’t like leaving unfavorable reviews, but I really don’t understand how this business is making money. The food I received was horrible. The chicken was too big, it looked like turkey parts instead of chicken, the mac and cheese was runny and tasteless. The cornbread was more like cardboard and the banana pudding was not like any I’ve ever seen before. I was scared to taste it. I’m mad because I spent over $20 on this over and couldn’t even eat it.

If you’re looking for a place where the security guard has an “ego trip” then here’s the place for you. I arrived at the store and got inside at 6:53pm as I’m walking in the store I hear a man saying “baby girl” over and over which I ignore because I assumed he was trying to talk to me and I wasn’t interested never looked his way just heard his voice. I go in the store nobody says anything to me he walks behind me and says “BABY GIRL” I turn around and say, “that is not my name.” He says, “I know you heard me they’re closed” (He could’ve said mam and I would’ve looked his way and told me they were closed then I would’ve responded with an ok and just left, but I’m not responding to any cat calls). I looked at one of the workers who said nothing to me when I walked into the store and asked if I could just get one thing, she asked what I needed and said yes. So I had permission from the actual store workers to get something who had no issue when I walked in but the security on an ego trip says “NO!” She looks shocked and then I guess out of fear said I couldn’t because of him then he says to me, a woman, “that’s a good way to get pepper sprayed.” Very aggressive and even as I’m leaving the store he’s still talking to me as I’m walking to my car! I said to him “I’m leaving the store you can shut up now!” I had no issue with leaving before and when I looked on google maps before I came it didn’t say the store was closed or closing soon. If he would’ve handled the situation differently especially with the way he approached me from the beginning when he was calling me originally he would’ve gotten a totally different response from me. If you ask me the security should be FIRED! He’s a bad reflection of the ENTIRE STORE and runs away good money and business.
