The stuffed mushroom sandwich was amazing. I like that it was stuffed with a mix of yellow and white cheeses instead of the typical mozzarella. I've had many stuffed mushroom sandwiches, and this one is at the top of the top. The bun had a slightly sweet flavor with a light, airy, fluffy texture. I appreciated the presentation with the little heart drawn with the sauce. The tots were fried to perfection, and the cucumber watermelon infused water was balanced and refreshing.

Always great food and service when I eat here.

Great place and service. The burger is big and filling (despite my bad picture taking). I'd recommend getting the flipping patty and sweet potato tots (the fries are great, also). You can't make a wrong decision here.

It was really excellent! My aunt was in town and I took her here. We sampled a little bit of everything. She loved the food just as much as I do! We got the Amboy Burger, Pupu chicken, beef empanadas, pork belly and the Ube egg rolls.

Travelled from Calgary, Alberta Canada. We wanted some Halo Halo .. but as soon as I could smell the garlic fried rice . It was game over. The portions were super large and food was amazing. I will be back as I was relocated to Houston for work . Great job guys for the food and size servings !!

It's a burger experience you won't get anywhere else, and one you won't soon forget. It's good. Really good. Definitely on the pricy side, but worth it.

Taste of the Philippines. Very representative of their cuisine. Garlic rice 🍚 and ginger chicken 🐔 was delicious 😋. Lechon was cooked perfectly. Cantaloupe Agua Fresca was refreshing. Many flavors to choose from.

If we had not stumbled upon Flip 'n Patties on our last night in Houston we would not have remembered Houston fondly.

Where do we even begin with sharing our experience here?

First, the food was excellent in its own right and also legitimately authentic and traditional filipino food. Second, the atmosphere was authentically filipino and not trying to exploit some cultural gimmick. It was inviting and we got to meet and talk with the chef and one of the owners relatives. That filipino hospitality was there from beginning to end.

I can attest to this with serious credentials. My wife is filipino and I have spent a good deal of time in different parts of the Philippines, so I have a good deal of experience with authentic and traditional filipino food. In addition, being married to a filipina, we have tried every filipino restaurant we could find in Louisiana and California, all of which claimed to be authentic, but sadly, they were not! All of the other filipino restaurants that we have tried "lacked the confidence in authentic filipino food" (per my wife) and incorporated either local or other ethic food.

Not so for Flip 'n Patties. While I wanted to try everything on the menu, my first impression of the menu was that it was legit, even down to the filipino humor in butchering language! I tried the Chicken PuPu upon being told that it was his grandmother's recipe. Most of the time when someone says that, it is just a gimmick. Judging by taste alone, you could tell that this was his grandmother's recipe. It was amazing and second only to my wife's cooking. We also had the beef Flipanadas. That they use Waygu beef in all of their beef dishes is a testament to the quality of their food. The Flipanadas were incredible and the best empanada I have ever had. My wife had the pancit which was spot on. We also had a dessert in what appeared to be lumpia stuffed with ube halaya which was awesome. My wife and kids also had the halo halo which was, again, spot on. For an hour or so, you felt like you were in the Phillippines having the best homecooked meal you ever had.

Besides the authenticity and taste, the quality of the ingredients and the quality of the preparation also stood out. Rarely does a restaurant hit it right on every single level, but Flip 'n Patties is certainly one that does.

I had hoped to never have to go back to Houston. But now I'm looking forward to it just to go back to Houston just to go to Flip 'n Patties - that is until I can convince them to open in the New Orleans area.

Vegetarian options: Some of these dishes can be vegetarian upon request without losing out on the taste.

The food is so delicious 😋🤤. The garlic fried rice with steak was amazing 🤤. The chicken bites were addicting and delicious 😋. The burger with the egg rolls 🤤 (you just can't go wrong with almost any item on their menu!). The atmosphere is family friendly, and we had fun singing karaoke 🎤😁. It's definitely a cool place to hang out with friends or family and have some good laughs. I recommend this Filipino restaurant 💯.

YuMm!! One of our fave places! Chicharon to start off “warm up” only $6 and there’s plenty to go around! Mini kamayan for sharing for 2 people … or eat it all by yourself! Delish! We always order Flip ‘n Fries with beef! And Jiwei our server is friendly and energetic, a great addition to this place! Kain na!

Another much deserved review! The food here is just delicious, well made and tasty! We tried some of their new menu items and we were not disappointed!
