Flower Child (Houston Heights)

First timer here the Queso appetizer was delicious! I got the slow roasted beef with mash potatoes and carrots and it was great! Date got a chicken salad and said she enjoyed it. We ended it with chocolate pudding with nuts and a pumpkin cupcake 🧁. I’d recommend you check them out if you’re in the area and want a healthier choice in foods.

10/10 try the Avacado Caesar salad and the roast beef !! Queso was so Amazing!
The salad had a great zest to it and the roast beef was so smooth! Very clean and such a cute date place .

I went to Flower Child and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the food was! I hadn’t eaten all day, so I’m definitely planning to go back and try it again to make sure it wasn’t just my hunger talking. The sangria drink was especially delicious—I'm not usually a fan of sangria, but this one was really tasty. For a total of $25, it was a great meal, and I’m looking forward to returning to explore the menu further!

This place! I love it! they have their own parking so it was not a struggle at all, Right off the back its so cute and green and welcoming! It smelled like fresh bread when i walked in... the girl in the register asked me if i had been there before and i told her no she went off on a little talk about the ingredients and the establishing of the business which was so interesting we talked about the menu and i got the shrimp bowl kale salad and roasted brussel sprouts it was so delish! i have pre diabetes among other things and it was so refreshing to be able to have such a big menu to choose from!! the tea's and flavored waters they had were so refreshing too. the seating was so comfy and me and my friend spend about 3 hours in a corner just eating and talking it was so nice to be able to hang out and not worry about someone telling us you have to leave or the place being overly crowded. I can't wait to take my husband here. Great spot!

I was recently diagnosed with a very rare / aggressive illness that forced me to change my eating habits to fully vegan. I was excited to try this place, but our cashier ( tall guy, dark hair, thin, horrible attitude ) looked at me funny, and gave me snarky response when I asked if the Mac & cheese was dairy free. He laughed, rolled his eyes saying “well it’s cheese” I know not many places serve DF/ V/ GF Mac & cheese, not sure why he looked at me like that & gave me an attitude; These are important questions to some people, when their life depends on what they eat. He continued to roll his eyes, every time I asked a question. I felt so stupid and unwelcomed.
I just wanted to get out of the establishment ASAP.
FYI- The dark chocolate pudding was amazing.

The food is healthy, and they have deserts. The restaurant is always clean. And the staff are all very kind and friendly. It is one of my favorite hangout spots in Houston!! :-D

Oh and they have real flowers as table centerpieces. And if you don't want an item included on their set menu items, they will ask if it is a preference or an allergy, which is a great question.

DELICIOUS food that is clean and filling. Open environment that is bright and relaxing. Great selection of food with variety, and very friendly and helpful staff. Pot roast, butternut squash, Kung Pao cauliflower, and hummus all highly recommended!

Food was fresh and each dish was prepared well. I would've given it a 5 had the food been hotter. Everything came out warm but not hot. We had the queso which was delicious. My wife had the yakisoba noodles. They were really good. I had the steak which comes medium (perfect) with mac & cheese and broccoli. We also had a side of kale which was good as well.

OMG! My sister and I took our mom her for her birthday... SO DELICIOUS!!!!! The food was absolutely amazing! Super nice staff and patio as well! Vegan options were great! Thank you! My 5 year old tore up the kale salad, broccoli, and everything else! We got 6 entrées and loved them all! Thank you so much❤️❤️❤️

Vegetarian options: We would absolutely love to see vegan mac and chz. But the vegan options were very delicious! Thank you so much! Will recommend and be back when we are in Houston again ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I don’t really ever write reviews but just wanted to compliment the service here. My daughter and I come every Tuesday after her gymnastics class and there is a woman there (I think she may be a manager) but she is always working Tuesday lunch time (she has dark hair and usually wearing it in a low bun). Anyways, she is so sweet to my 2 year old daughter and I. She welcomes us everytime we walk in and often brings over stickers or crayons for my daughter. She’s always smiling and just generally really kind. Just wanted to drop a note and say that her little gestures go a long way especially for moms with small kids. We need more people like her 😊
