Dined in with a party of 3. All got breakfast items. An Omelet plate, a Traditional Breakfast Plate (eggs, hash browns, Ham), and a chicken fried steak breakfast plate. The hash browns were kinda bland, the eggs were also the same. Had to add ketchup and salt to almost everything. The waiter did a great job, cleaned our table, remade the toast that was burnt, and made sure the omelet was salt free and had no hash browns. Overall a great little spot to grab a coffee and read the news.

Frank's Grill on Clinton... it's a true gem, a real treasure in our community. It's a place we should always cherish, support, and invest in, because they've been investing in us for so long. Since the 1960s, - feeding us, not just food, but a sense of belonging. They've got that wonderful, comfortable, 'come as you are' feel, a little rough around the edges- that's needed, butso genuinely welcoming. It's a place where we all come together, where families gather, where neighbors meet, where we feel at home. And the way they treat you? The warmth. The genuine care. The smiles. It's something special. We see the young ones coming in being trained & learning the ropes. For the last few months the food has been horrible, I do not recommend this place. They should retrain the cooks to properly season the food, also the older waitress has poor customer service, never smile, greet us or anything.The food is so bland, you have to use multiple seasons to make your food taste even halfway good! Corporate should come down and actually taste the food at this location.... They may be highly dissatisfied!

I was really uncomfortable to see employees wearing Trump hats while they were working at this restaurant. Regardless of where someone stands politically, a workplace, especially one serving the Houston public, should feel welcoming and respectful to all customers.
That hat is a highly charged symbol that has been used to promote division and exclusion. Seeing it worn by staff sends the wrong message: that some customers may not be valued or safe here. I used to love coming here and had to leave after the lady at the front doubled-down on their support of wearing the hat while working.
As a veteran myself, I hope management reconsiders allowing political messaging during shifts. Businesses should prioritize professionalism and inclusivity, not politics.

This is not the Franks I remember. The breakfast food was horrible. They did not even salt the grits nor add butter to the water. All the cooks that use to run the spot is gone. All mexican kitchen serving nasty food.
Great restaurant to eat good home cooking. They serve breakfast all day and they are good food portions.

I just found this place recently but wish I had yrs ago. I was actually looking for another place. Doesn't look like much from the outside but a step back in time as far as the whole eating experience. The place is hopping and u'll never see a employees looking at their phones. The service is outstanding and the food was great. Big portions and reasonable prices. I've been a over the rd truck driver 53yrs and have eaten in alot of dinners. I even took one last ld to Houston just so I could eat here one last time before I retired. If you miss a simpler time when people were nice u'll like this place. Hope this helps someone else find this place also. Remember to live life and be safe out there :)
