Sadly my lunch was quite disappointing! I've been eating at Free birds since they 1st opened up on Northgate in College Station and they were SO GOOD then and continued to be great for a very long time. It seems like the quality (taste) of the food has really gone downhill over the last few years.
I probably won't be going back for quite a long time...☹️

We come here at least 2 times a week if not more! And Everytime we are here the African American lady that wears glasses is always extremely unwelcoming I initially left a good review because of another girl who is extremely friendly but honestly it deserves a new review... How am I supposed to keep coming here if I don't feel welcome and like I'm being laughed at all the other workers are great and friendly but she makes us so uncomfortable please handle her I want to keep coming to this location but I can't if she continues on! Why would I want to go get food somewhere I don't feel welcome we are trying to relax after having a hard day at work I'd rather just drive further somewhere else to relax
The meat wasn't very flavorful and my taco was extremely soggy it fell apart. It's also overpriced

If the beans are not hard the rice is hard the person in there working got an attitude because I said the rice was hard I asked for a sample of it and it was hard and it was nasty
Black beans and rice are often undercooked. I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt but it continues to happen.

I used to eat her often. It's been a few months. I stopped in about 6pm on Saturday Nov. 23, 2024. I ordered 2 bowles. Got home and went to eat. WTH. How can rice be over cooked and crunchy? The black beans were raw and when bitten turned into dry dust. I couldn't even taste the meat. They have new bowls, and they are now smaller. I noticed when they scooped the ingredients into the bowl, they didn't get full scoops. I will not be returning. Shame on you Freebirds. I expected more out of you.

I love freebirds but this location specifically is not the best. I don't know his name but he's the guy that put the burrito together. It was going well at first but when it came to rolling the burrito, he was absolutely terrible. Making a complete mess, not even closing it properly and just had an attitude whenever we made it clear that we didn't like how he put it together. I don't understand why you'd hire someone that can't even do their job properly. When we left, him and this other woman kept on looking at us like we did something wrong. This location is mediocre if you want a burrito bowl or something like that but I wouldn't recommend going here for a burrito. If you see a bigger, dark skinned man then ask for someone else if you really wanna go here.

I’ve been a regular at this restaurant and usually enjoy the food, but my recent experience was disappointing. I decided to try online ordering for the first time and didn’t tip, as I believe tipping for takeout is unnecessary.
When I received my order, both burritos contained barely any chicken—just a tiny piece in each. It’s frustrating to see such a lack of care, especially from a place I’ve supported before. I’m not alone in my concerns; previous reviews indicate that others have also complained about the quality and portion sizes.
I’m including a picture of the receipt to illustrate my point. It feels like they’re not interested in keeping their customers satisfied.

This place and the services is sucks, the people are so rude and the manager who said not even providing her name and hanged up twice on me and my coworker and not be able to help.

Slow down
Extremely rude employee who identified herself as Emily, the manager. Online order was not ready so I was watching her make our order. Emily was very rude to me from the beginning and when she started to put on the wrong ingredients I asked her to stop and put on the correct ingredients. She proceeded to argue with me saying that was the way it was ordered online. I showed her the order from my phone showing that I was right and she responded with “Oh my gosh, please leave”.
