Everything was delicious. We had boudin balls, Mamou shrimp dip, creole pasta, the Cajun executioner (fried catfish & red beans and rice), and beignets. It was all fantastic. Also, our server was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back to try other menu items!
When I want to know if a Cajun restaurant is the real deal, there are only 2 things I need to taste. The seafood gumbo, and red beans and rice. Joe and the crew at French Quarter restaurant on Hwy 6 N in Houston no exactly what they’re doing if your roux sucks then I know there’s no need for me to go any further down the menu because I’m not gonna be happy and if you’re red beans and rice aren’t up to par, well those are the two staples and if you can’t do those, then...
This a fantastic, unassuming restaurant. The food was great (fried alligator was way too chewy) and the service was even better. Everyone we interacted with was professional, accommodating and nice. If you are in this area, do yourself a favor and stop here to eat. I’m sad that I can only leave 5 stars!!!
