Attended a private party in the side room. They normally close at 6pm on Saturdays (why?), but we had the room til 7pm, yet they still tried hurrying us out the door early. Very clean restaurant, food was amazing, and I'm confused whether their artwork on the floors was removed from the walls so we could put up balloons, or if they were in the process of decorating. Either way, it shouldn't have been on the floor and in our way. In all, what they sell is great, just...

Gatlin's is the real deal — family-owned Texas BBQ that has been putting smiles on faces for years. The brisket is moist, the ribs fall off the bone, and the sides are made with love. The cucumber salad is an underrated must-order. There's a reason presidents and mayors have stopped by. Mrs. Gatlin walking around and talking to customers tells you everything you need to know about the heart behind this place. One of Houston's true treasures.

Easy menu to navigate. No gimmicks. Just good food and quality service. Bible verse posted on the menu which we love. Had the ribs. Jalapeño cheddar link and some brisket. Dirty rice. Potato salad. Fried okra. And to top it off smoked corn which was fire!! Overall great experience and it was NOT over priced.
