First time ever with this stupid restaurant that trying to get you in upgrade price but with Food Out Of Order? What the hell all you can eat but eat only what they want you to eat? Then pay upgrade premium for what? Meat quality is not acceptable also cutting too thin slice then try to stay away so you can’t call for order again? I think this restaurant is new in area but dont try to steal money from customers. They are not stupid. Very poor service will never ever come back to any Gen BBQ again. Good luck with your business.

At this place, they control the pace of your food.. The grill is only about 14 inch round diameters. Then, each table can only order 4 items at a time. 4 dishes at a time.. Then the grill can't be too hot because they are afraid our food will be burned. But why is the burner level at low. That's not good, either. Food needs to have strong heat to cook pork meat. So just be aware of them things. Overall the place is nice looking.

THE FOOD IS GROSS. Found this place on a quick Google search just looking for “Korean restaurants near me”. It’s a newly built area on Westheimer, the atmosphere is nice, but the food was low grade, especially for Korean food. All the food was thick and fatty, the shrimp has the head, shell, and tail… it was gross. No wonder it’s $30 a person, all you can eat. Better food at Golden Corral.

We enjoy korean bbq so we decided to go to GEN BBQ on Westheimer. This is our first time there. First off the back, there were some red flags right off the back 1. The entrance was very small. There was only 1 person sitting guest to their table. Too slow 2. When we were seated, it took a long time for the waiter to come to our table 3. After we order our meats, it came out before our drink, we have no dishes and no condiments. Our bbq grill is not even ready and turn on
The other thing, I have no issue with people celebrating birthday, but I feel the place is too small and loud for all the banging. The sound really echo throughout the restaurant.
Other than that, I love the seat and the lighting
Compare to other bbq restaurants, GEN need to step up. It definitely need more vegetable and variety of sauces.

Went in for Friday lunch and they informed me they were charging dinner pricing. Of course their online menu is not updated to say so. I'm already here so might as well stay. I order galbi and they give me a single piece of galbi.. maybe it was just a fluke so I ordered galbi again. Nope, they bring out a single piece of galbi again
