My fiancé & I went to dinner here for the first time for his birthday. We were both highly disappointed. We aren’t really picky with our food but left the restaurant saying we wouldn’t ever go back. We got 2 steaks both cold. The only side that was hot was the French fries. We also had a hair in our appetizer which was gross. No manager came to talk to us about it. If I’m ordering a wagyu steak I don’t want to eat it cold. For the amount we spent it wasn’t worth it. Our waiter was friendly and kept checking on us.

I had a steak here, I couldn't have enjoyed the experience any more. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Great wine list and the Tallow old fashioned is a must try.

Had an amazing experience. Booked a reservation for my mom’s birthday and George James did not disappoint. Drinks and food were spot on as well as service. We loved all of the recommendations from our bartender and server, Lambros. The oysters (OMG that viet Cajun sauce with bread 👩🏻‍🍳💋👌🤤), the steak tartare, and short ribs with horseradish mashed potatoes were especially noteworthy. Thanks again Georgia James for a lovely evening 💕

Hands down one of THE best restaurants in Houston. I ordered the 8oz filet — cooked to perfection and great sear. Daughter had the chicken with dirty rice — flavorful. Wife ordered the salmon and Brussels — those Brussels were the best I’ve ever had. The Mac and cheese was to die for. Please try them for date night or a celebratory moment. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for, so I paid for excellence and that’s what I received.

well-seasoned, and cooked exactly how you ask—. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is great, and you get amazing value for the quality. If you’re looking for something tasty without the hype, this is the spot.

Although we did not have steak, hubby and I were pleased. Not a big oyster eater, but the way these were prepared, I would definitely order them again. Cajun spices and seasoning, and a little heat, made them pretty doggone good. Also had a piece of Seabass that was probably some of the best I’ve had in recent memory. Can’t remember the name of the blueberry dessert, but it was very light and elegant. Our waiter, Berniece, was extremely helpful with the decision making and offered suggestions that we took. She made the whole dining experience quite pleasant. Nice decor. Live music (piano player) and good location. Will def return.

04/18/2025 - UPDATE - my husband and I returned to Georgia James to celebrate that he passed the bar! This time we had Maia she is new but she is fabulous! She was so personable and sweet I highly recommend her as your server she was patient and explained the specials twice for us upon request. She was knowledgeable about the food and wine. She made recommendations for dishes we wouldn’t normally try but we ended up falling in love with. A great server makes a world of difference and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate her attentive service and personality!

02/14 - My husband made a reservation for us on Valentine’s Day early in the evening and it was absolutely amazing. Our server Ivan made the entire experience so enjoyable! I would come back just for the excellent service we received but to top it off the food is excellent. The atmosphere in their private dining room is intimate and perfect for a date night. I couldn’t recommend this place more! Make sure you ask for Ivan - he is attentive and will make sure you have a great evening

Steakhouse is ok. But the parking situation is horrible. If you self-park in the nearby garage for the restaurant, you will receive parking fee scam mails and even collection companies keep chasing you for a ridiculous amount of fee. Until they figure out how to calm down the parking scam in their plaza, I don’t think our company is going to do any event there anymore.

Georgia James is the crown jewel of culinary exclusivity—where every bite feels like a celebration of flavor and finesse. The brisket melted like butter, the lobster & crab bisque was liquid gold, and my strawberry lemon drop? Pure luxury in a glass. Add an A+ waitstaff and a table of amazing friends, and this became the birthday dinner of dreams. Trust me—this place doesn’t just serve food, it serves unforgettable experiences.

Fantastic experience! We had the biggest bone marrow I have ever seen. The house-pickled onion was bursting with flavor. We were able to see the name and life journey of the A5 wagyu steak, as well as its appearance before being expertly prepared. The snapper was served with a lively and aromatic sauce. Finally, the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of character.

The service was exceptionally attentive and warm, enhancing the entire dining experience. Every detail was taken care of with a smile, making us feel truly valued as guests.

I had the fried chicken entree. And I think the chicken was spoiled as I was sick at 3:00 am. The dirty rice was undercooked and the green beans was more like a soup. The service was excellent. Friendly staff and beautiful restaurant. I think the kitchen needs to be more careful with how they store food and maybe start tasting before serving. I may or may not return.

My husband and I had such an amazing experience last night at Georgia James, for our 2 year anniversary! Our waiter Alfredo was amazing, and very attentive! We definitely will be back, thank you all for an amazing night and experience, along with delicious food and drinks!

Elegant on all fronts :) Dress? We say business casual to fit the vibe.
Came 3/13/25 for social hour. We sat at the bar although high top tables were open as well.
Lambros and Amanda took very friendly care of us. Our drinks were great as were the 1/2 dozen oysters and redfish dip.
We shared the steak-frites and wedge salad. The kitchen heard ‘rare’, and we got exactly that, thin sliced for sharing.
As we were leaving we met Rafael, the GM, sharing how delighted we were with our first-time experience. He was tickled and, as it early evening, offered us a tour of the entire space, downstairs and up. The outside patio - wow!! Just lovely!
Highly recommend Georgia James again and again.
