I had a flat, spent about an hour working on my car in the parking lot across the street of the restaurant. Turns out my spare was also low pressure (12psi out of 60psi), and the portable plug for my air pump broke, so I needed a wall socket. The valet guy for sure saw me working on my car, so I went and explained the situation and he said "you're in an emergency, that should be fine."So I pull my car up, plug my air pump in, get as close as I can to get the pump to reach, and start pumping. People are walking in so I inform them of the cord below them, since im stretching it to reach my tire and don't want them to trip. Someone, I'm assuming one of the owners came out and asked "whats going on here?" I informed her of my situation and she asks "but do we know you? Who gave you permission?" I let her know the valet said I could since it was an emergency and she was like ok but he doesn't have authority. And then proceeds to step on the wire, lifting the air pump, when someone else tries to walk up. Then she asks "how much longer?" I've only been there a minute or so and I let her know maybe a minute. It's like me pumping air didn't make sense to her. As if I was trying to trick her or do something against her. Goes to show the world of mistrust and lack of compassion we live in. Seems like a snobby place. "You can tell a lot about a person based on how they treat someone who can do absolutely nothing for them."Parking: The valet guy was great. ? ?

I absolutely love coming here. The owners and staff are absolutely incredible. Truely a family feel and the food and drinks are amazing!Dietary restrictions: Brought a couple of friends that had Dietary restrictions, called ahead and Mary made sure they would have something to serve, as always, it was delicious!

Mark, Mary, and their staff are essentially our second family as many others may attest to as well. The welcome and service is first class from beginning to finish. Cocktails are out of this world with the in house syrups and fresh ingredients prepped everyday beforehand. My wife and I are spoiled on the drinks. Selection of wine and alcohol is superb and the staff have great knowledge on what we are drinking. Our cocktail favorites are the Apple blossom (off menu), Purple raine (recently added from off the menu due to popularity), grasshopper (for desert), and second marriage. As for food, we always get mushroom fries (off menu), snow pea leaves (off menu), mixed mushrooms, soup dumplings (from NY), bone brittle flounder, and the sizzling filet mignon. Highly recommended with a great ambiance and memorable experience. Mary the owner is wonderful taking care of everyone that comes through the door. You won't be disappointed. Definitely try out their cocktails!

I thought the restaurant coped really well with the Valentine Day rush. The food service was timed well, the drinks and food were up to their usual high standards and it made for a pleasant and relaxing evening. Thank you!

A highly impressive menu! G&F is a very fun vibe, super family friendly feel to it as well. They have excellent craft cocktails and plenty on the menu for everyone. The staff are fun and welcoming, highly recommend!

The food was very good, but the atmosphere was strange. We were greeted by our server/hostess who waived us over instead of walking us through the restaurant. After we sat down, she started going over a few items and talked to us about “Mary and Mark” like we knew who they were. I knew they were the owners because I read about this restaurant., but husband was super confused. The staff was nice though and attentive. Our server was all over the place and seemed out of it when we asked for items. I love being friendly with people, but she was so familiar with us that it didn't feel special at all. Again, the food was so fresh and very tasty, but the price point for what you get is disappointing. $20 for a small ginger margarita is a bit much. It was good but not life-changing. I would not drive from The Woodlands to go there again, but I do recommend the spicy fried pork and the pineapple shrimp. Delicious. (P.S. Mary came by our table and she was super nice.)

Popped by to get an espresso! Marcus helped me and it was delicious. My headache is gone! Appreciate the great bar service!

Excellent food and service. Our iced tea glasses were always full and that is saying a lot because I might have over-done it on the chili oil. Absolutely get the fried cauliflower. It's on point!

What great little gem in Roce Military. Just off Shepherd, this place serves great Cantonese dishes. We love soup dumplings and these were legit. The drinks are delicious and the service was outstanding!! Such friendly staff and very engaging and attentive. Really enjoyed their company. The Peking duck Bao and curry noodles were great and then since we were still a little hungry we got an off menu Peking duck dumpling. Was amazing!

Great but overpriced cocktails with mediocre and overpriced food. Just another restaurant that is fleecing customers for the privilege of the atmosphere while providing low quality, high profit margin food to diners who either don’t know any better or don’t care. If tip was included in the prices I’d have less of an issue with it. But you want an additional 20% for service? Please. (Eye roll). There are too many other great options in Houston to bother going to this one.

We had a wonderful experience. The service and attention were absolutely top notch without being overbearing or stuffy. The food was wonderful and I was truly grateful for the special care taken to explain their gluten free options and precautions on a very busy night. We will be back I suspect sometime very soon, and many more visits to follow!

Every time I leave Ginger & Fork, I can't wait to go back. The food is outstanding and I can't get enough of the ginger margaritas. My husband says their whiskey selection is amazing as well. Delish!!

Always spectacular food. One of the best restaurants in the city by far. Also the owner creates a friendly and fun environment that always feels like you are having a cozy dinner with family and friends. Almost impossible these days to find a place where the owner walks around constantly to check in with everyone to make sure they are having a great experience. Keep it up Mary, you are the best!
