Duc Huong is the best place to get cha lua! They're open early and sell out very quickly. Their nem chua is also very good. If you arrive at peak hours, there's usually a line out the door. They accept Cash Only and don't accept credit cards.

Called in an order for 20 gio lua and the worker on the phone informed me it would be about 30 to 45 minutes before my order was ready and that payment would be in all cash. Very happy when I arrived my order was ready, 5 packed per bag. Very seamless transaction. The gio itself freezes well and defrost to eat when I need. Definitely the place to go to get your gio. I

Best cha (or gio) in Houston! Made hot and fresh daily and a great addition to Banh cuon or homemade Banh mi. The cha/gio is cooked in banana leaves and never nasty plastic wrap.

Fresh cha. Best in town. Just know that the cha here is authentically made and has the full peppercorns inside. If you don't like that ask for the kind that doesn't have it.

Cash only and watch out for short change. I almost got ripped off by $50 had I not check for cash back from the cashier before I drove off! After returning and complain he just casually gave me an additional $50 without an apology !!! Bad business!!!! Another customer behind me had the same complaint when she came back to the store!!!

They had plenty of the thing I was looking for (banh gio). Tasted good, just remember to bring cash as they don't take card

2/9/21- So I was told to come early to get my some gio lua for my sister in law. She warned me that there would be a line and a limit. But I came in about 10am and sure enough, she was right about it. They are also limiting the sell per person to 5. So when I was walking up. People was all standing in the streets in line. Then a worker told them to stand in the side walk toward crawfish and noodles. There was about 15-20 people in line. There only so many people that can fit inside. The lines moved pretty fast. Well depending on if there are greedy people. There was this lady that was in front of me trying to buy more then the limit of 5. She was trying to tell the cashier that her husband is outside and she wanted to buy for him too. He suggested for him to wait in line like the rest of us did. She was getting upset that the cashier didn't want to give her more. That she should think about the rest of us in line waiting for the same product she came to get. He did a good job of hold his ground and not selling her more. I did get my 5 large gio lua and when I was walking out there was even more people getting ready to lined up. So if you decide to get some for your family around Chinese lunar new year, best come early. Your family would love these!

I was able to pick up gio cha here to eat with banh chung! Very generous-sized loaf for $6. Would recommend. CASH only.

Was introduced to this place years ago by a Vietnamese friend. Can't say that I'm a regular, but stop here at minimum half a dozen times each year to pick up the Gio Lua (pork roll without peppercorns). Slice a thin piece, stack it on a toasted muffin with some goose pate and a fried egg, it's my DIY version of bahn mi.

Best mixed Vietnamese sausage (gio cha) in Houston!! No other place compares! They also sell banh Cuon. This is our family's go-to spot for gio cha and banh Cuon

On my last day in houston, I visited this place to order some cha for my family to bring home. I am not quite sure if the food is good or not so I just ordered a little bit of everything. BIG REGRET! I just opened one cha oc and it was sooooo goood! I can tell that it was freshly made. The texture and flavor was great with a little but of spice. Now I am just sad that I only bought a few. I also purchased other varities too but haven't tried them yet.

Gio LUA is my fav ever!! The taste and the consistency is better than ANY Gio I've tasted. And it's hot and fresh when I order it here. I love it and I get at least 2 Gio when I come to Bellaire.

recently bought a basic "cha lua" but the taste / quality is definitely NOT the same like that of the past! didn't buy any other types, so not sure if the quality is whether the same. Hope my bad experience was a 1-time bad / inferior batch, rather than a change / downgrade for extra profit or whatever reason; if the high quality & taste of the past are no longer the same, the business will lose me as a long-time customer
