We went in on our lunch (very early this day, we got there about 11:35) they had almost no food on the buffet so we asked if they could make some fried chicken (you'd think this would be a staple at GC) they told us no, they didn't have any chicken, um, ok, can you please make some catfish, they didn't have any catfish. Hmm, what do you have? Not much. We then asked for the manager and he was extremely rude. I was kind of shocked by this because we've always had a good experience at this one. We finally asked for a refund after we had spent 25 minutes asking for things they didn't have. He literally tried everything to get us to eat there including offering us to come back another time but didn't want to give us a refund. My husband had already used 30 minutes of his lunch hour by now (thankfully he has a very relaxed schedule and wasn't going to get in trouble, but he still had to get back to work) we finally ended up at Whataburger, which was fine, but we could have avoided all of this and driven the 2 blocks from his job instead of wasting time and gas to get this kind of treatment. A little kindness goes a LONG way!

I went today for the annual veterans day meal after I called twice on two separate days to find out how it would work this year with covid. I was told instead of being one day ,it would last until March, I needed to bring my ID and get a coupon. When I got there today, I was told it was over, they had no more coupons. I am a disabled vet, no car, rode two buses and a train for 2 hours to get here, only to be treated like a stray dog who had wandered in begging for a bone .The Mexican manager was rude and basically just shooed me out the door after I explained to him nobody told me there were limited tickets or a day I had to come pick one up. After calling twice before I made that trip. Now, I'm just not somebody who comes once a year for a free meal, I have spent a lot of money here many times when the food isnt even that good anymore and have never left without leaving a decent tip for the hard working servers ,but i will never darken your door again after the disrespect I have been shown today. If you didn't want to do it this year that is ok ,but don't advertise something you don't want to do. There are many other places who honored their word and had no problem accommodating ALL the vets who showed up this year .At least a meal could have been comped because it's not my fault you ran out of tickets, that is a lack of planning. I will be glad to see you close down, the place was empty when I went.

Everything i tried was just terrible and Everything tasted old and some had a burnt taste me and my friends tried to get our refunds back because we barely touched anything we're literally hungry right now and they won't give us our money back DO NOT COME HERE
Had to get a refund literally within seconds. Food was old, mashed potatoes were runny, and no variety. Horrible GC I've ever seen!

The food was alright, Inside, was very dirty, The floor was covered with food, there were tables that were unattended and unclean- There were only 2 waiters that had to wait on the whole store. They were both very nice despite the stress they were going through.
