We stopped at Hubcap Grill in the Houston Hobby airport during a recent layover while traveling home. It is about par for what you'd expect from an airport hamburger/beer bar. It took awhile to be seated because the hostesses up front could not handle the amount of diners showing up. Plenty of open seating in the restaurant, the hostesses were simply moving slowly. \n\nThe service was decent. Angela was our waitress, and she did a good job. The food was decent enough as well....
We were quickly seated, our order was taken but then we were abandoned. All servers and employees seem to be watching TV, talking amongst themselves and oblivious that they work in an airport where perhaps customers might need to catch a flight.
We had multiple hours to spare at the airport and were looking for a sit down place where the prices were not insane but expected. We were sat right away but noticed that the server had been what we call “Quadrouple sat”. She was very busy but she still did a great job at managing the work load and luckily we were in no hurry. We ordered a local wheat beer which was delicious! We got the spicy chicken sandwich and the black and blue burger. The server warned us that the kitchen...
