The steak house claims to be top 50 in the world, which is a something they certainly are. Steak was tender and had the perfect amount of seasoning. The octopus was soft and had zero fish taste to it. Duck fat fried , fries were perfect and the cowboy cut steak was cooked to perfection these guys know their meat. Next time in, I will make sure to bring more clients here and bring the wife for a very plesent date night.

Dan, our waiter, was outstanding, very attentive, the food was fairly quick and was spot on, steaks were exactly as asked for, the Brandy Peppercorn sauce was excellent, the portion sizes for the salads and sides were huge and his recommendation for a dessert was wonderful!

My server was Jonathan, he was amazing he knew everything about the restaurant, from the culture to the food, to the drinks! He answered every questions and recommended a lot of delicious food and I was NOT disappointed! All the staff was super sweet they all were welcoming and loving and caring they gave us an anniversary gift and they all stopped by and greeted us I cannot say this enough; I have never felt more welcomed in a restaurant with an amazing staff they way they were! Thank you to everyone! I felt even more special when the chef came and said “happy anniversary” ABSOLUTELY MEMORABLE and I've told my whole family and co workers and friends they are all are gonna go back and ask for Jonathan he was perfect!

The food was excellent. My guest and I shared the burrata appetizer which we both thoroughly enjoyed. I indulged myself with the G&G burger, which were flavorful and delicious. My only complaint is that it was extremely loud in the restaurant.

Guard and Grace has consistently been a great spot for a night out, and on our last visit Amanda gave us amazing service for a special birthday meal. The steaks are alway cooked to perfection and their drink selection + sommelier's knowledge is fantastic. I will definitely continue coming back!

Having eaten at numerous high-end steakhouses, Guard and Grace was one of the quieter and roomier ones I've been to. The upscale interior is elegant without being pretentious and the huge windows and high ceilings greatly helped add to the openness and create a nice, light contrast to the typical darker vibes of most top-dollar steakhouses. The food was, as it should be at this price point, incredible. We loved the Braised Beef Wontons and a special sushi dish for appetizers, along with such full and rich dinner rolls and some wonderful seasoned butter. We split the steak flight, consisting of three 4 oz medallions, some angus and waygu varieties, and they were all top notch. The sides were plenty for 3 people and we split some asparagus and smashed potatoes that were wonderful. A plate full of rich, chocolate chip cookies topped off a marvelous evening! The valet was a little clunky in having to download their app and enter credit card info but it was a minor obstacle in the grand scheme of things. Guard and Grace definitely goes to the top of my high-end steakhouse list.

Booked reservation at 5 pm prior to a 7:30 play at Hobby Center. Houston Chronicle listed the restaurant as one of the best 15 restaurants downtown. Started with oysters on the half shell. Large salad shared by 4 people. I ordered black cod based on the recommendation by our waiter Toby. My wife had a combination of tuna sushi & octopus as her entree. Both were excellent. Another diner at the table had redfish & very tasty according to her. All in all, a very nice meal, & we were finished on time to enjoy the play without being rushed. Plan to return to explore other options.
