This place is great. It is becoming harder and harder to find good juicy Fried Chicken on the bone in this town. But Gus consistently has the best juicy Fried Chicken in Houston. With the perfect amount of spice. To top it every single time I’ve been here I have had the nicest wait staff, friendly and genuine. They make me smile and feel good when I leave. Thanks Gus Staff. Great place however, toward the evening, when anyone enters, the glass on the door reflects a blinding flash of sun. hours later, my eye still hurts and I have a burned spot in my eye. Please cover that door with a paper in the evenings!!!!

Very impressive. I've had fried chicken around the world but this was great, not super greasy and flavorsome. I've never heard of this place before, so not exactly sure about the "world famous" claim.Selected slaw and beans which complimented perfectly. The only thing is the chicken pieces look oddly large which means they're likely hormone pumped.

Always good and yummy golden, crispy fried chicken! This place has stayed consistent over the years and is a great go to when I'm in the mood for some fried chicken. I always get the two piece dark plate with fried okra and mac & cheese. It hits the spot every time. Drizzle some honey on the chicken with a side of ranch and *chef's kiss*. The chicken is crisp, juicy and with just the right amount of kick to it. The place has a casual, laid back vibe. You can keep the cup for drinks too which is an added plus.
