Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Memphis based company and if you have never been to a Gus's you need to. Old fashioned southern fried in Peanut Oil. The spices cannot be replicated by any of the competitors and all of the sides are homemade as well.

I can not even begin to describe the flavor of the food. There is no fried chicken or fried catfish that could even begin to match the taste. The seasoning, the moisture, and the tenderness are throughout the meat. The fries are very well seasoned, not spicy, just well seasoned. Even the coke coleslaw goes above and beyond. You definitely will not leave hungry or dissatisfied

Great food fast juicy and ready to enjoy. Have put this feast of meal in my lunch rotation every week and it never disappoints. As usual Aneth Would take good care of me and my guests. Already knows what we like .SWould recommend anyone around the area or outside of town to try this amazing chicken experience.

Ok, ok, slow down Gus's. I visited Mother's Day for the 1st time. It might be the creole in me, but the spices hit just right. I'll be back.

Probably one of the best fried chicken I've had in a while. Enough said.

First off I wanna say that the chicken was not all that I expected. had a very substandard taste to it,nothing fancy. nothing that I haven’t tasted before. The bread that they put in the plate was very cheap and the baked beans were straight out of a can that I can buy at Walmart. I specifically told them potato salad and instead they put coleslaw. I think they need to get better in putting more attention to the customers request.overall it is not a place that I’m dying to come back too.

The food here is soooo good. Tge fried green tomatoes are a must. Eli provided amazing service. We will definitely come back for more.

Danisha is amazing and very attentive. She made our time eating here memorable. We will definitely be back when we come back to Houston from Boston.

Dinisha was helpful selecting items and the chicken and Greens were on point.

Excellent service

I went and visit Houston and I went to eat here during my visit the service I received was very horrible especially for a person not from here my waiter was rude it was me and my mom she was nice to give her a tip anyway she didn’t deserve it but I know we are living on hard times she kept stated that she was ready to go home she really show us she was ready to go home she took our order and gave us our food never check on us we ask for a refill never got it had to ask for the manger I’m afraid to visit this location again maybe it was because I wasn’t from Houston to get treated like that the food was ok just the service was provided was horrible

Never heard or knew of this place until today. Apparently they are quite popular in Tennessee! The chicken was BOMB! It was so seasoned, moist and tasty. I got the 2 piece dark with cole slaw & beans. The sides were not bad at all either. It was really refreshing after a few bites of the fried chicken & then taking some bites of the sides.

Their cokes are different, for some reason they taste like McDonald's cokes. It's a lot better. Not sure what's going on with that!
