Had a reservation for 7.30pm but we checked in at 7.40pm. Waited till around 8.11pm to be seated. Don't really mind the wait, was offered a complimentary crudo for the wait. The parking kinda threw it off, there's a lot of people waiting inside the building/room, basically standing right behind you when you're eating. Food was amazing though and staff was very welcoming. Parking is an issue and if they can have the people to wait outside or a waiting area would be nice.

I may have caught them on an off day before, but today everything was great. The team pre-bussed our dishes, checked on us throughout the meal, and made sure we had everything we needed—even down to the ginger. I’m really happy with how this visit turned out, especially since we live in the neighborhood. Will totally be back.

We came in yesterday for our 7:45 PM reservation and sat at the sushi bar, already knowing exactly what we wanted. The first lady who took our order was polite. We told her we didn’t want tap water, so we ordered a Topo Chico and an iced green tea — and that ended up being the only meaningful interaction we got all night.

The food came out at a normal pace, but once it did, the staff completely disappeared. No check-ins, no follow-ups, nothing. We weren’t asking for freebies — we actually wanted to order more drinks and more food — but that requires someone actually coming back to the table.

Being seated at the sushi bar meant space was already limited. We ordered several dishes, plates piled up, and no one came to pre-bus or make room. We literally had no space left to continue eating comfortably. We tried to make eye contact multiple times, but it was like we were invisible. Meanwhile, the server on the floor checked every table around us — left, right, and across — but somehow never ours.

At one point, we honestly wondered if we were dressed too low-key for them, or if the staff was just too busy to bother with us. Maybe ignoring certain guests is their way of turning tables faster? If so, mission accomplished.

By the time anyone walked near us again, we had already finished eating. We actually came hungry and wanted to try more, but no one gave us the chance.

At checkout, the cashier asked if everything was great. We told her it wasn’t. She removed a couple items, but we didn’t ask for that. We came prepared to pay full price — and yes, we still tipped 18%.

We left disappointed, still hungry, and feeling unwelcome. The food was good, but the lack of service ruined the experience. But hey — they’re busy, so maybe they don’t care if guests come back or not.

Everything was so fresh and plated very beautifully. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed some of the things I tried and How I could see the chefs assembling each hand roll. I’d definitely go back again.

The place I go when I want sushi because I love hand rolls. It's in a tiny house in the Heights with a small amount of seating around a bar You can watch the chefs work as they create your food.

I canceled my RSVP because I’m not sure where these positive reviews are coming from. There is absolutely no parking. I even called to ask, and they told me to park outside — but the signs clearly say “Tow Away Zone.”

Fresh sushi. Love how the sushi rice is served warm and the seaweed used for the wrap is crispy. It makes such a difference and enhances the taste and exoperience. Love the concept. The only thing I didn't like was that it was freezing cold in the restaurant, otherwise, excellent experience!

By far my favorite place in Houston to get sushi and hand rolls! The vibes are great, the staff is incredible, and the prices are incredibly fair for what you get. Just a four piece set gets me super full. Highly recommend!

Visiting from Austin for the Khruangbin concert and hit some highlights in Houston! Great spot for a quick lunch, hand rolls are delicious and worth the money. Would recommend trying the 3 or 5 set depending on how hungry you are. Thanks!

Our New lil handroll spot. Can't believe we haven't tried before now. Not expensive but it definitely will add up depending on how much you choose to eat and drink. Love the quaint vibe. Great music. Will be back. Reserve since small...

Early dinner at Heights location. This place never disappoints. Maguro crudo and 3- hand roll set were perfect. Service excellent and friendly. Mix of casual and dressed up crowd. One of my favorites.

Service was not it. Felt rushed and not attended to which is hard to accomplish with literal counter service
