Everything was so good! Do try to get a reservation though. They were super nice to squeeze us in before a reservation came in. I got the 4 set rolls and it came with the BGB sake, negitoro, spicy tuna, and avocado. My favorites from the set was BGB sake, super tasty, and the spicy tuna which had crunchy crips in it. The best spicy tuna hand roll I ever had. I also tried their notorious BGB which had a side that taste like fish sauce to me and hotate which is scallop crudo with refreshing citrus. Both are delicious and are a must try! Their bluefin Akami sashimi was fresh too. I didn’t like negitoro sashimi as much but that is just a preference. All of their drinks are solid too.

So good and fresh! Love how small and cozy this place is. And since it’s a bar it’s impossible to overstay your welcome because you can’t sit back. Good service and yummy food.

Super fresh Japanese food in the Heights! The tuna sashimi is a must and the hand rolls sets are really good too to try a bit of everything!Recommend to book a table in advance since the restaurant is really small and only offer seats at the bar. I will come back for sure.

One of my favorite places. Everything on the menu is delicious, rolls, crudo, sashimi and drinks. I usually order two sets of the 3 handroll set back to back plus crudos. A simple menu but with quality flavors and fresh fish. The crudos are creative and love the burst of flavors that pair well with the fish. The setup of the place keeps it intimate. I keep coming back year after year. The service is always great and the staff treat the guests like their own friends. Love the actions figures they have out too ? great for lunch or dinner!Parking: There is free street parking along White Oak.

The cocktail that I had was too sweet and the Crudo was a little overdressed, but the fish was extraordinarily fresh and the hand rolls were BEYOND exceptional.... like, complete perfection! If you're the person searching for the perfect hand roll that's delicate, flaky, warm and crunchy on the outside and packed full of goodness on the inside, then this is the place for you! Heaven in a roll, could have eaten 20!

The experience is great because it's so different from most restaurants. the place is tiny, and you might have to wait to get seated if you don't make a reservation. There's a total of 20 seats, I believe. They are definitely overpriced handrolls. They are like half the size of traditional handrolls. I liked the Hamachi handroll. I tried like 4 other things, and they were just okay.

This place is a very cute date spot with decent food. The price is definitely on the higher end, but for a once in a while splurge, I would recommend it. All the seats circle the sushi bar, and it's a more personalized experience with the chefs and other customers. With regards to the hand rolls, we tried the Hamachi, Negitoro, and BGB Sake. I would rate those rolls in that order. They were all good, but the Hamachi was the best and was a nice surprise as we don't usually go for yellow tail when getting sushi.Outside of that, we also got the Maguro and Notorious BGB. The Maguro was good. The Notorious BGB was better in my opinion. For people who like a little spicy kick, I would recommend that one.If you do end up coming here, it seems to be only street parking, and I would definitely recommend grabbing a reservation as it fills up fast. We luckily got to walk in without one and got seats, but it is a small place.

My friend loves this place and when I went to visit her, we came here directly after she picked me up from the airport. We each got the 3 Hand Roll Set, which came with BGB Sake, Hamachi and Spicy Tuna. I also got a cocktail but can't remember what was in it. It was refreshing.Everything was fresh and I liked that the Spicy Tuna wasn't drowning in mayo.We were still hungry and ordered: Salmon sashimi: Salmon was marinated (Ponzu sauce?) and came with sliced radish which added some crunchiness.Bluefin Otoro sashimi: Melted in my mouth like butter.Santa Barbara Uni handroll: Creamy uni. Need I say more?Service was friendly and rolls and sashimi came out fast. I am so glad my friend introduced me to this place - I am a definitely a fan!
