Hank's Cajun Crawfish

We ordered crawfish and gumbo. The crawfish was small with a few medium on top and I found quite a bit of pieces of crawfish in the bag. Most of the crawfish had one claw which was weird. So maybe they using the other claw for something else. The taste was okay with a hint of garlic. I waited a long time for them to bring the gumbo to the table. When it arrived it was brown gravy like and had an overpowering seasoning to it and I could not eat it. Do not get the gumbo. In the past Hanks was pretty good, but this time around I did not enjoy my visit as much as I thought I would. Nevertheless, the lady apologized for the long wait for the gumbo and the taste. I do appreciate that.

Prices changed I don’t mind that, but you can spend over $100 for seafood even $200 but they charge for butter for your seafood is ridiculous. This review is mainly to voice my opinion butter should be complimentary a certain amount with a certain pound of seafood anything extra yes yall should charge for it

We have been going here many years , but now the whole for has changed the food has a smell ! They are always short staff ! Never have time for refills ! Or the food is cold.

I ordered Crawfish on 9/29/24 and went to pick it up. I had an incident a few months back where I had placed an order and went to pick it up and the worker was leaving out the door before 9pm which was the closing time. He told me that they were closed and I told him that I called and had a pick up order. I ended up having to go to Mambos. I was highly disappointed. After many attempts to contact the Manager Kevin I finally got in touch with him to tell him about the issue. He was pretty non chalant and said that his workers would not do that. I had my call log to prove that his worker left early and I had met him at the door when he was locking up. He said that he could only give me 15% off the next time. He said that he would write it on a ticket and put it on the board and when I come in I could tell the worker and get 15% off of my order. I also was given a 15%off card from a previous order that I brought in just in case there was a problem with them finding the ticket. Fast forward- I'm in the restaurant picking up my order. I hand the guy the 15% off card and he tells me that I cannot get the discount on Crawfish. He looked on the card and said that the card said that it can't be used for Crawfish. I told him that he is the one that stapled the card to my receipt from my previous Crawfish order. I read the card and it does not say anywhere that it cant be used for Crawfish. THIS IS A FREAKING CRAWFISH PLACE-CRAWFISH IS IN THE NAME OF THE PLACE. I then tell him to look on the board and I should have a ticket for 15% off. He found the ticket and it had my name on it. It read 15% off and at the bottom it basically said that I was getting the discount due to a previous order mishap. He called the Manager Kevin first and told him what was going on. I'm guessing that he told him that I could not get the 15% off for Crawfish. When he told me that. I said Crawfish is what I order here. The order that I did not receive, due to HIM leaving early was Crawfish. The order that he stapled the coupon to previously was Crawfish. He then called Lisa the owner to tell her. I'm guessing that she told him that I could not get the 15% off. I said none of these specify that I cannot get 15% off of Crawfish. That is what I order and what is the point of offering it due to their screw up of closing early and me not getting my order due to that. I was done at that point. The customer service is always lacking. The Manager, Kevin lied to me about the 15% and it didn't have any stipulations behind it. They need to stop giving out 15% cards if they are not going to honor them. They are charging $9.74/ lb for FROZEN Crawfish with garlic. They are already overcharging. My total was $31.63 and $4.74 discount wasn't going to hurt them but this review will bring out the transparency in Lisa's shady business practices. When you own a restaurant or any business, there are certain things that you should be able to pride yourself upon and several are being honest, fair, and understanding how to keep your customers-CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lisa lacks all. I've given this place chance after chance. I even stopped going for several years due to Lisa raising the price up when Crawfish Chasers, which I'm a member of, was having a meet up there in June of 2016. I'm done with Hank's.

We cater Hank’s for our family dinner and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure our meals is every bit delicious! We order shrimp and crawfish fried rice, snow crab and shrimp boil. Thanks Lisa!

First time trying this establishment and it was a wonderful experience.. Had 3lbs of crawfish,lemon pepper wings, shrimp PO boy and kids chicken nuggets everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Exceptional customer

Ok..it's a tiny little hole-in-the-wall in a strip center- The decor is not it's main selling point (but at least they tried). The food, however, is AWESOME! Seriously, this is my new favorite fish place in Houston. I went with my wife and we ordered both the 4 fish platter and the 25 fried shrimp platter and split them between us. The shrimp were large and battered perfectly while the fish (catfish) were *huge*, served straight from the fryer and reminded me of the family fish-fry dinners from my childhood. I totally recommend this place and look forward to working my way through the rest of their menu.
