I am partial and particularly enjoyed the Big Nasty last week!

We visited last Sunday for brunch on the patio given the nice weather. The drinks were excellent. We had the pitcher of sangria. When it came to food the menu was a little underwhelming and even moreso if you don't eat meat. Our server was doing his best but it just didn't feel like he was set up for success and well trained. For this price point I'd expect more from the food and servers. We had a paper thin pizza, pitcher of sangria and side of fries. Our total was about $75 with the automatic gratuity for our party of seven included. Underwhelming experience overall.

Very sad. Lack there of food on the menu.Items ordered were missing things- ie: bacon, egg on burgerCheese board was not good at all.Service was poor. No drink refills warm water for your meal. All portions came out at different times with huge gaps. One person got their meal then 15/ 20min later another would come out.I ordered a burger with egg. The egg was missing by the time the guy came to the table to tell him my burger was missing the egg it was ice cold and all he did was get me an egg for the cold burger. Not impressed

We sat outside, and it reeked of sewage with an overwhelming smell of air freshener trying to hide it. All the food was just okay - at best. The hamburger is mostly bread with a tiny piece of meat. The pulled pork tacos just weren’t good - the flavor was not there. The fried chicken also lacked any flavor. All of it felt like I was in a cheap establishment. This place has really fallen.

This place no longer has it's upstairs! Just disappointed that it's not reflected on their website. That's where we were hoping to

I was craving Harolds' Chicken & Mashed Potato dish so we stopped in a couple nights ago. The staff was friendly and attentive, as always. We also ordered the Fried Shrimp PoBoy. Both plates came out hot and were delicious! Their food always keeps me coming back.

Maybe this place is better at night but lunch was a mess. There was one other couple here at the time so maybe I should have taken that as a sign? The waiter wasn’t friendly and never smiled. For a place that touts “southern hospitality”, y’all have some work to do. I ordered the fish and chips and my husband got a poboy. Both were very subpar. The batter and the fish were mushy and the fries were wet. They had been in oil far too long, and the oil wasn’t hot enough. Clearly. Whoever was cooking that day needs a lesson in frying. And the Dr Pepper is disgusting. It taste like diet cherry coke or something. After eating here, I decided to read the reviews and quite a few talked about the strong cherry flavor of drinks so obviously this is an issue that needs to be remedied. Just be safe and ask for a can. On our way out no one said bye or thank you. And we still never got a smile. The service industry is brutal these days.

This has been our spot for race weekend brunch several for years. Unfortunately, the upstairs dining area was closed this year. The chicken bites on the deviled eggs tasted like they were cooked in old/dirty grease. The Big Nasty Biscuit was half the size it used to be. This visit just wasn't what we have come to expect so we won't be back.

Went here with a couple of friends for the first time. We ordered an appetizer and then the server came back and we ordered some food. The appetizer came out and my food came. I had finished my food and the food for my friends still haven’t came out yet. It was at the point 20 minutes had gone by. We asked the server Juan and he forgot to put in the order for my friends. We waited another 15 minutes and the food finally came out for them. There was a lack of service & honestly will not be going back.

The weather in Houston was good so we had outside seating. The service was really good, our server checked in on us, was patient with us ordering for the first time. Food was good, a bit under seasoned but overall a good atmosphere to take a date or grab a drink and hang out with friends.

I’ve tried to give Harold’s multiple tries over the years as a Heights resident before concerts at the Heights Theater. Service and friendliness has always struggled, and tonight the staff was kind but literally forgot about 7 people on the patio for 10+ minutes.

I’m being driven insane by the conflicting music being played (country on the jukebox, 80’s on the house speakers) at the same time.I have moved outside and suddenly everything is good again and the cast iron cheeseburger is wonderful and the fries are excellent.
