I would like to share my disappointment in my custom order for $336.00, I placed on Oct 25th with Felicia. I picked up yesterday at 2 and I could not believe the art on the cookies. In all honesty they look like a toddler scribbled the picture. The lady in the bakery was very kind and sweet. She did her best to right this wrong. She allowed us to pick some cookies from the case as a replacement for what I received. I was so focused on the cookie with the machine that when I got home I saw the others. The inconsistencies on the writing is not in line with what I expected from what I’ve seen on instagram. In fact, many have commented on the lovely penmanship on your cookies. See the atrached photo the Q’s look terrible. The silver color lettering is smeared on many as in the 3rd picture. I sent my logo for reference. When I spoke to Felicia she described a pretty picture of what my order would be. Had I known that is what I was getting, I would have told her to just slap my logo on edible sugar sheets. See the attached photos for reference. If I’m out of line or my expectations are grand let me know. Props the the lady who tried her best to make me a happy customer. It wasn’t her fault, she didn’t bake or decorate my cookies. Someone else did a terrible job.

Walked in today to place a custom cake order with only 4 days notice for my daughter's 16th Birthday Party. Lindsey was so sweet and helped us find just the right cake and helped customize it to my daughter liking. We were trying to decide on a cake flavor and she graciously allowed us to try the red velvet cupcake to see if that was the flavor my daughter liked. It was an absolutely amazing experience and relived this mamas stress!
We have also ordered custom Taylor swift cookies in the past thay were not only beautifully decorated but delicious!

The cookies are amazing. Had them a few weeks ago in Austin so drove into town to pick up a few to give as gifts. Walked in and listened to the girl behind the counter tell the couple in front of us that if the cookies sit for three weeks she brings old cookies to the homeless shelter. They left and my husband asked her how her day was going. No answer. Just a “what do you need.” I told her I was buying a few for gifts and again no answer. I picked out a few cookies, paid $63 and the only two word said were “here you go” as she pushed the box towards me. The cookies are 100% worth it but the off putting girl behind the counter needs to learn what customer service is.

About a week ago I decided to check out this new location as I’m from Austin and was shocked to see a location in Houston. Was very disappointed with my experience…. When I first walked in, there were two girls in the front; one on the computer and the other with her back to the front door. I was in the shop for almost a minute before they even realized I was inside and wasn’t even greeted. When I was looking at selections, the one girl just kept staring at me like she was annoyed that I was taking so long. Not very friendly at all and left with a cookie and banana bread because I felt rushed. The chocolate chip cookie was ok, but the banana bread was horrible! Very mushy on the top and couldn’t eat it. Will not be returning.

It's definitely a cute shop. I enjoyed watching it come together on Instagram. But its like they say, "Never meet your heros". I was so disappointed when I went opening weekend and the front of house ladies were very lackluster in their customer service. The lady who helped me out stared at me and waited for me to say hi or start ordering without getting a simple "How can I help you?". I got the caramel carrot cake and it was way too sweet. Pure sugar and as a pastry chef I was astonished. I asked if they could please see if anything was egg free and I got a simple "nothings vegan" as a response when that wasn't the question. I don't think I'll come back honestly. I'll just continue being a silent follower and that's okay!

I don’t want to be dramatic but HayleyCakes might have the best cookie cake I’ve ever had! The blondies, caramelitas and pretty much everything they have is THE BOMB! I’m so glad y’all opened a store in Houston so we don’t have to go to Austin!

I love Hayley Cakes! The cookies are beautifully decorated, and some are hilarious if you need a humorous pick-me-up. I had a slice of chocolate strawberry cake yesterday, and it was heavenly. Each time I go in, the person behind the counter is extremely pleasant. Highly recommend!

There is no phone number listed for this shop. I placed an online order, which was confirmed via email, and arrived to find the shop closed even though the door says open m-sat 7 to 7… it’s 3:51 on a Tuesday. Very disappointing.

Full transparency, I’ve been WAITING for HayleyCakes to come to Houston after being a fan for many years (and taking many a detour through Austin to get my goods). The new shop in Houston is delicious and has such a wonderful selection of baked goods! The decorated cookies are tasty with a fun selection of designs—and perfect for any occasion. The baked goods (cakes, brownies, cookie cakes, etc) are also tasty with a creative twist. I haven’t needed to buy a full cake yet, but I certainly will be soon. The location itself is cute, welcoming and ready for you. I can already tell you I’ll be there often and you should too!

I never thought cookies could taste this good ??? I was walking to City Centre from my house and it just so happened that I walk by them. We entered for a peak and decided to stop by on our way back , after dinner. This is probably the only place in Houston that is worth the price you pay for a cookie. I had the double chocolate and salt cookie, the snickerdoodle cookie and he grinche suga cookie. They also made me a decaf latte. The cookies mealted in my mouth. They were absolutely amazing. They just opened 2 weeks ago. Hayley has a few stores in Austin and this is her first store in Houston.I’m 100% positive this place is going to become a smashing success with the memorial moms! It’s now my only go to place for coffee, cakes and cookies!
