The best Mex rest in Houston by far!

Today is my birthday and Herradura’s made me some of the best sopapillas and gave them to me with a birthday message written on top of the container. Thank you for the birthday gift and birthday wishes. You guys have some great food and especially sopapillas .

I tend to arrive early and get a booth quickly. The chips arrive promptly and the salsa is warm and a little spice but still flavorful. The lunch portions are enough to keep me full all day.

Excellent Carnitas!

Most importantly: the house salsa and tortillas are both really good here.

We live nearby and we feel pretty fortunate that there's a good Mexican restaurant this close to us. We always get the steak fajitas and they are consistently delicious.

I went in very hopeful but it was bad, like pretty freaking bad. The salsa was not good, at all. The gravy on the enchilada was super bland and odd tasting, and the taco meat was flavorless. The diablo shrimp looked good but I didn't try them myself. I can't bring myself to go back.

the only way you might enjoy this place is if you’re a gringo. Food was very bland, rice was undercooked & hard, chips n salsa were not good, overall very underwhelming.

We stepped away to use the bathroom as soon as we were seated, which our server saw… literally the second we come back to sit down, the server came over asking if we were ready (we haven’t even had the chance to look at the menu lol?)

Thereafter, he never came back for 25 mins or so, he was just very awkwardly standing in front of the kitchen doors side eyeing us. We had to flag down somebody else entirely for our server to come take our order. We called ahead to see if they do happy hour, they said yes including margs, only for our server to tell us happy hour is only the beers…?

Then after all that, we had to wait about 10 mins for him to collect the check, after i immediately provided the card.

Bland food, awkward customer experience, overall incredibly underwhelming.

We gang up the family or just us two. Herradura is our GO TO. We highly recommend this tasty spot for tex-mex! We've been going since they opened. Excellent value, food and service. Go visit them, you'll be happy you did. Great margaritas too!
