My family used to love coming here, but our most recent visit was our last. The food was bland and the service was a joke. Our server took forever to greet us and took even longer getting our order, when the food arrived it was cold and bland. This place has gone completely down hill

I was excited to bring my family here since we love Lord of the Rings, but initially there was a 15 minute wait since no seats were available—no problem, this is understandable. When it was our turn to sit, it turns out there were two tables available —again no problem.
However, when we were able to sit, it took five minutes to the server to come to us. We put an order in for three meads and some nachos, and it took twenty minutes for the mead to come and without nachos. Further, the waiter told us to wait to put our food in and never returned to us. When I asked another waiter to help us, her response was “ oh you’re not my customer”…
The kicker is that the restaurant was empty by the time it was our turn to eat. I was excited to eat here, but I will not return after poor service. I still love Lord of the Rings though lol

We stop here every time we go to Houston. It is so kitschy and fun and the service is phenomenal and the food is great. The Mead choices are out of this world. It's just a really fun time.

The hobbit cafe was a fun one time try. We had items off the brunch menu and they were alright. If you’re a big fan of the series, it’ll be fun to see but not worth going again imo.
We got there before they opened at 11 since other reviews mentioned parking difficulties. We were the first ones there, so plenty of parking. When we left, the entire lot was full. There was a line of people waiting to get in the restaurant.

It was a fun experience. Lots on the menu in terms of food and libations. The food was good, not great but the overall vibe more than made up for it. We'll go again when we're in town.

Great casual place that has been around for a while. It is nice that it is themed, and all of the dishes are good. Atmosphere is great, and staff is fast, though you sometimes have to wait for a table at peak. I recommend the prancing pony hickory burger and the enchiladas, as well as the onion rings.

Food was very good.
Portion size were large.
Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Ordered a Tolkian salad with advacado and rare salmon. There was enough food for two meals.

We were there on Valentine's Day and it was packed. Even so, Rachel, the hostess, was very helpful and got us a couple of tables for 11 in a very reasonable amount of time.
Our waitress, Riley with the elf ears 😀, was great. She got all the orders right, kept our drinks filled, and just had a pleasant disposition.
Everyone loved their food. The taste was great and the portions were large - even huge. Overall a really good meal time.
The only negative of any sort was that the parking lot was jammed. There was a big birthday party taking up a lot of spaces. The could use a little more parking - but I think that is pretty typical for this part of town.

The place was pretty cool. Obviously LOTR or hobbit themed. Not personally a fan of the series or the lore but I got the idea. The idea of the place was cool. Our waitress, Emily, was awesome. The menu is daunting. There was so much information to process and made it difficult to understand what I might be ordering. Emily was very helpful on the information. I ended up eating a bacon cheese burger that was actually pretty good. Can't remember the name of it to save my life. The dragon wings were bomb! And huge! So good. Overall decent experience.
