Pleasantly surprised by Home Base Pizza. Good pizza is hard to find in Houston. This is a good little neighborhood pizza place to carryout. Nice crust, pretty good ingredients and baked well. Thankfully, they are very close to the house.

I felt disrespected, provoked, and undermined among other lesser downgrades. You sure can destroy a child’s visit with his Dad that he get along with good. I thought that it would be an excellent idea to bring my son to get his favorite pizza from this place. I have been coming to this place for years. I called and ordered over the phone with the speaker phone hands free while both hands on the wheel turning on barker cypress and west road. My son wanted to eat the pizza hot from the stove. When I got to the restaurant the person owner/manager greeted me like usual. He have never handed my son candy. The owner/manager told me that I didn’t have to buy the food, I could go, he did not have to apologize to me. He acted lika crack smoker in boarded up house! I have never asked for an apology at all that day. I’m wondering why he would say that and was very angry. The manager/owner destroyed my time that I had to spend from all of the other places we could have gone. The provoking in the manor like I could get out. Like some bum at a coffee store…. I over looked this and payed for it any way because my son likes the spaghetti with meatballs. I was so upset and had to sit there. I felt like the owner/manager would attack me if I said something wrong. Because I said that “I would appreciate if you would have asked me first”. The owner/manager went on a rant. I started shaking and didn’t feel safe. The tone of his voice was like a step away from him throwing a knife at me. In self defense I would have really beat you up on the sidewalk with only my bare swollen up knuckles. No thanks for ruining the only day that I have had in 2 months to spend with my son. I will never again give you no more money, never go where ever you work at to get some food!

Some of the NASTIEST pizza I've EVER EATEN! Especially since they're EXTREMELY expensive! This pizza is perfect for people who like NO SAUCE, TOPPINGS, AND nasty hard crust! I can't believe this place is open as a pizza joint. Ordered the 2 medium special. This first one consisted of pepperoni and green peppers and gesh, we had to pick up the SCARCE toppings just to see if there was sauce. Our next one had Alfredo sauce, which we could taste because barely any beef or Canadian bacon on it!! Let's talk crust; it was so tough my 3 year old couldn't chew it.. Cheese. Is is even Cheese>> NO. I think this some kind of plastic cheese. One word >> HORRIBLE. Upon entry I noticed no cars whic should have been the first sign to not enter being that it was on a Saturday night!! Noticed one Gentleman who seemed to be making pizzas and taking orders, but if that ne the case why is poor quality the customers problem .. Not to mention lack of staff. Will NEVER return!

Homebase serves up delicious thin crust pizzas with fresh toppings in a cozy, family-owned atmosphere. While their pizzas are felicious, the prices can be steep on regular days when there are no specials. Biggest mistake I ever made when it comes to food.i happened to accidentally place an order here thinking it was a different spot. My error. However, coming from a true New Jersey / New Yorker, this pizza is not it. Not to mention me asking for a Hawaiian and them giving me a complete weird kind of Hawaiian and telling me it has to be like that because the charge was the same and it wasn’t fair to other customers to tailor it because of blah blah I completely lost track of what she was saying cause it was just absurd. I dont know what is wrong with Texas and their pizza joints but wow. I’ve never felt so frustrated in finding a good pizza spot. I’m tired of driving far to Houston or cinco ranch to get a decent slice.

It had been such a long time since we ordered from Home Base Pizza and after slice, I’m not sure why we stopped!We ordered an XL hand tossed 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni pizza. The perfect amount of sauce, chewy garlicky crust, unique blend of cheeses. A step up from the traditional cheese pizza from commercial chains.They have a large selection of gourmet pizzas and of course an option BYO. Swap out any crust with their gluten free cauliflower crust option (definitely going to try it next time)!So glad to have to this neighborhood gem so close to home!
Kid-friendliness: They sell ice cream truck worthy ice cream bars and keep a stash of lollipops at the register. My daughter was so excited to pick her flavors (she got one for her and her brother). Best of all. The young lady behind the register asked me quietly if my daughter could have one before offering!
