Must try this place for brunch! We went on a Sunday and I was so impressed and happy I gave it a try. It was a busy Sunday but our waitress was great food came out quick. Their lattes are so good! Variety of American & Mexican dishes. Food was so good I didn’t even snap a pic lol. Will be back for sure!

We have been here 3 times in 3 weeks and I have tried something different each time. The food is delicious. We had got the breakfast board and its way too much for two people lol however if you have at least a party of four its well worth it

Loved the vibe and our server, David. But the food was not as good as my previous visit. It may have been what I ordered, but my husband didn’t care for his either. Mexican Hot Chocolate- yummy but luke warm; cinnamon roll we ordered for the table - dry and room temperature. More icing or butter to drip down into the roll when it’s hot may work. We ordered a cinnamon roll so healthy is not a concern here; biscuit with bacon gravy - biscuits with unique spice blends don’t pair well with home style grease & flour. May I suggest plain biscuits? ; bacon - tasted “gamey” to me? If it is, please mention so I don’t order a breakfast with meat that I waste. My husband got the chilaquiles and was disappointed with the full sized chips instead of tortilla strips in the dish. Will I eat here again? Probably. The location, the service, and the vibe are awesome. But I will definitely order something like the waffles & fruit that looked delicious on the table next to ours ! And I will come starving because the portions are very hearty!

We absolutely loved date night at Homestead! The drinks were amazing and so was the food! The frozen horchata was so well prepared and the food was well presented! Can’t wait to return for brunch!

Amazing place and delicious food. Went here on a date night, got the brisket empanadas and the frozen horchata. Girlfriend got the chicken flautas. Service was great too, waiter was nice and down to earth guy. 12/10 place, I will definitely be coming back!

It’s been a while since I’ve had bad breakfast food. I was in the mood for something breakfasty that’s not Denny’s or IHOP. I ordered the chicken fried steak that was horrible. The meat was rough and thin and the fried part was soggy. The mashed potatoes tasted like the box mashed potatoes. The chicken and waffles were also not great. The chicken had no flavor and it was cold. The best part was the coffee and the abuelita pancakes.

The food was amazing! The staff in the other hand was not impressive at all. The waiter/host immediately advised as we walked in that there were only two servers at the restaurant on a day that is now a holiday and that he wasn’t sure how to handle so many people at one time. Once we were seated, the server advised that at 9:30am, the bartender was there but the barista was not, therefore we could only get regular coffee not any kind of specialty coffee. Once we ordered drinks, only half came at one time. The food was ordered and again it was amazing!!! When we asked for refills of coffee, we were poured over, never asked about refills for juice, water, or sodas. When paying we asked for a printed receipt and never received it after being ignored for 5-10 minutes, we just left.
The staff needs to be trained better otherwise this could be an excellent establishment.

I don’t know if I’m late to the party, but Homestead in the heights is a rare hidden gem. I came upon it by happenstance. I was taking my daughter to eat for her birthday we decided to meet at 11am but the place stop serving breakfast at 11 and she really wanted breakfast food so I looked and scrolled and came across Homestead it sits right on the side of the overpass on North Shepherd and I-10. I was blown away at the menu. I wanted to try 1 of everything! It was the best experience I’ve had in a very long time. I consider myself a foodie because I love cooking and presenting a plate that’s puts all of my passion and love into it even the background music was perfect. This place did not disappoint. If you haven’t tried it please do. It checked off all of the boxes of being the place you want to come back to again and again..

This place is decent. Nothing special about it BUT I would totally come back for their pancakes. I don’t even like pancakes and these were the best I’ve had in years. BIG AND FLUFFY. The syrup was delish.
