Tonight, my partner and I ate at Hopdoddy in Rice Village, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. While we’ve enjoyed this location before, the last two visits have left us dissatisfied due to overly salty food. This evening, both our fries and burgers were excessively salty—my partner’s burger was so salty it caused discomfort in the throat. Additionally, when we requested outdoor seating, the staff member cleaning tables appeared visibly annoyed, rolling his eyes and complaining. While Hopdoddy has potential with its creative menu, these repeated issues with food quality and service need improvement to meet expectations.

The ahi tuna burger at Hopdoddy is as good as any beef, chicken, turkey, lamb or any other kind of burger I've ever eaten. It is a study in deliciousness, and although it can't exactly be called healthy due to the bun and aioli and fried nori chips, it is definitely a bit healthier than your average burger. But don't order it because it's a bit healthier, order it because it is extraordinarily good. This is now my go to order at Hopdoddy - I absolutely love it.

I was craving a burger, and this place did a good job in assisting. This establishment is in Rice Village, near Rice university itself. Most parking spaces around here are paid. There is a garage that offers free parking for the first 2 hours. Good deal, but there are a bunch of meters as well. The place is clean, modern, and smells like burgers. The staff are friendly and did give me honest opinions on the burgers as well as recommendations. I purchased the Goodnight/ Good Cause burger, and it was great. Hot, juicy, a little bit of that kick from the jalapenos. The sides are separate from the burgers, so don’t forget the fries or any other side you wish to munch on. I hope I come back to town, just so I can try those shakes that they offer, looks pretty good. I would come back here again if I’m ever back in Texas.

Adventurous Americana food fare. Excellent options that sometimes can come off as a little full of itself, like a hipster trustafarian. That being said still a great place to eat where you can rub shoulders with the Karen elite of Rice Village and abroad!

Lots of pearl and purse clutchers that recoil at the sight of anyone artistic or too urban, but again the food kicks you right in the breastplate when they get it right!

The Queso fries are amazing, the shakes will knock your socks off, and most of the burgers are heavenly at best and sublime at worst.

Definitely worth a shot if you don’t mind spending 50.00 for two on a good day. They have a bar as well, and it’s located in a really convenient hub of Houston.

We went on a whim just cause. We shared a burger because it was our first time. I don’t like that everything is a la carte. They give you a big bowl of fries that come out before your burger like an appetizer.

One of my favorite burger places. They cook all the burgers to medium unless you ask them to cook them more, but in my opinion that’s the perfect temp. They have a ton of different burgers and sides. I don’t recommend getting this take out tho. I think it’s best sitting down to eat it there.

Dietary restrictions: The cook vegan/vegetarian burgers on a separate grill and will accommodate what they can like gf.
