They got rid of the beyond patty. You were once a beacon for vegan/vegetarians that wanted to eat out and wanted a savory meal with friends and loved ones. Now you join the rest of the companies that were trying to make a quick Buck off of greenwashing and the “vegan trend”. Yes they still have a veggie patty, but not everybody wants that. The same way not everybody wants a fake meat alternative. Point is, if it doesn’t sell well, make it seasonal, make it limited, just include everyone. No reason to go back now.

This is probably my favorite Hopdoddy Burger Bar. The food is consistently good, but what makes this one a standout is that the staff are really nice. They always have a smile for my partner and I, go out of their way to make the service one notch above where it needs to be, and are just fun. Maybe it's something they put in the water here in Houston :)Nice sitting space inside or outside, good tunes on the speakers, and consistently solid food. What's not to like? In the middle of Rice Village with free 2 hour parking right nearby.Parking: 2 hour parking free right next door, and usually plenty of surface spots within walking distance.

Start with the service, it was great! Greeted as soon as we got there and the fella working the front was very helpful in assisting us without being overbearing.Here's where it started getting not too great, the food was good( decent burger seasoned well) however the burger size looked like a kids burger and for the price they charge I was not annoyed. I ended up getting more food on the way back to Dallas, so while I enjoyed the food and the service I could probably go the rest of my time on this planet without paying for a tiny burger again. Don't let me sway you from trying it out, maybe you like smaller portions and if that's the case this is definitely for you. But myself and 4 other hungry athletes were a bit bummed.

You tip at the counter when you order but don’t expect to be waited on. You’ll get your own drinks, refills, sauces, fetch your own drink from the bar and togo boxes. Then when you’re visiting with dinner party you’ll have to sit amongst your dirty plates.
The food was good but the system of bringing it out at different times just seems a little odd. We shared a burger and brussel sprouts. Both were good but they brought the burger out first. We asked if the brussel sprouts were coming. She just nodded her head. About 10 minutes later they finally came out. We didn't want to eat the burger by itself so it was a bit cold by then. The staff seemed very disinterested when I complained. Decent food but probably will not go back.
