There was a roach floating in my chicken noodle soup. Absolutely disgusting. On top of that, the staff was extremely rude when I called about the issue. Please avoid this nasty restaurant, clearly no regard for cleanliness or customers.

I placed an order through DoorDash, and the wrong food was delivered because the restaurant didn’t verify the order with the driver. When I called Hou Wei Restaurant to explain the mix-up, the woman who answered the phone had a terrible attitude. She repeatedly cursed at me, told me it wasn’t her problem, and said to call DoorDash instead. She even told me to leave her alone because she was “busy.” Completely unacceptable behavior. This will be the last time I ever order from this establishment. No customer deserves to be spoken to like that.

Oh my goodness! This surpassed our expectations. The house flat noodle plate was superb. The sesame chicken hit the spot and the egg drop soup warmed me from the inside out. Thank you Hou Wei - signed, the woman with purple hair having the lunch special on a Sunday.

is a hidden gem! The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, but the real standout is their Chow Chow Soup—comforting, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Warm service, quick turnaround, and great value. Highly recommend!

The food here is not quality, it’s fast food at best. I have 2 stars because the ingredients in both the entree and soups seemed to be fresh but the execution wasn’t good. Each of the soups (we ordered 5) had broths that tasted like slightly flavored water. The entrees had sauce that was completely off. Two of the exact same dish tasted totally different, and the seasoning was definitely black pepper. We made a large family order and not one of us wants to try this place again. Oh, and they add additional charges for ordering online and another for paying with a card. If you truly love Chinese food, this isn’t the place for you.

Hou Wei has the best lunch specials on the block! The food is fresh, flavorful, and always delicious. Service is quick, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the owner is truly delightful. It feels like a hidden gem on FM 1960 and one of the best kept secrets in the area. Highly recommend!

Ever since I was a kid I loved this place so much, even my family would sit down and talk to the owners (the Asian grandma, and yes I’m Asian) and we knew them. Ever since we came back for Chinese New Year the owner is nowhere to be found and new workers are in place and it’s not the same at all. The food was…well something!! When I ordered the garlic bak choy, my favorite thing since I was a child, it tasted so weird. I think they switched the sauce with oyster sauce and the food in general just tastes so different that my mom and I didn’t even finish half of it. The service wasn’t completely bad but it was weird.

Stopped taking calls for a while. After 2 , 3 months called in delivery. Poor phone manners: he went hello? hesitant ,short ,rude.
I ordered from memory.the wonton family soup? downsized and the won tons diminutive. The steamed dumplings tasted bad ,actually bad. No sweet sauces included
Special fried rice ok
Its always been around 30 bucks or so.
This time it was 54 before tip.
Not buying here again
