Friendly service but the food lacked flavor and the dinner portions were light. We had bbq pork, beef with broccoli, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and house fried rice for a little over $50. I wouldn’t consider it overly priced if they had proper portions and maybe vent the sweet and sour chicken so it doesn’t get soggy/mushy.

I loved this place, but after the ownership change, the service has definitely changed. This place is slower to serve and is definitely not the same dining experience. I guess this might be goodbye for us. We ended up walking out as after 10 minutes our drinks that had been ordered never made it to the table. It's such a shame.

Slowly, gradually, with great mental resistance but still inexorably, it dawned on me that I had paid $50 for Chinese beef with broccoli with almost no flavor. It was extremely dry, too. My coworkers ordered 6 different lunches on doordash. the stupid female receptionist took the wrong order and made 6 chinese beef with broccolis. Some of us cannot consume beef! I drove to the restaurant and asked for a refund, but she refused to admit the mistake and cussed me out. I've been coming here for 5 years, this time is definitely a nail in the coffin. IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR THE WORST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN HOUSTON, LOOK NO FURTHER, IT'S HOU WEI.?

The food here is ok. I wouldn't mind giving it another chance. The general chicken is flavorful. However, some might think it's too sweet, but I kinda like that, so it was fine with me. The fried rice was not the best I've ever had. It could use a little more seasonings. I was surprised it tasted better than it looked.
