It is clean and comfortable, staff are great, food has declined. The smothered pork chop was hard and I was unable to finish it. This has been the case several times in regards to the entree. This restaurant is a soul food staple in Houston. It used to be my favorite place. I hope that they can get back providing great food.
The customer service was outstanding!! Everyone was professional, friendly, helpful, and engaging! The customers were friendly, patient, and understanding. My party and I were new and had a difficulty making up our s minds. No one rushed us and in fact even the customers chimed in with their favorite dishes making helpful suggestions. Posting was plentiful, the restaurant while under renovations was accessible, clean, and comfortable.

I started as a customer at the West Gray location. I ordered food through Uber but had to cancel my order within three minutes. Despite this, I was still charged over $17. Because of this experience, I will not be placing any more orders. However, I want to emphasize that the food is great.
