Usually not very busy but the food is so good! They do the Spicy and sweet mixture very well. Chicken is spicy but the coleslaw is sweet, which balances out the sandwich very well. I always get a sandwich while my husband loves their loaded fries. He doesn’t like coleslaw even though I said it pairs really well so he used to always ask without, but one time he forgot to request no coleslaw and decided to try it and ended up liking it more with coleslaw! We always stop by this place when passing thru Houston. It’s a must try!

It was kind of dead in here, which should’ve been a sign. The food was rather unseasoned (had the howdy basket) I think it’s too expensive for the quality.

I’ve been to this location a couple times and it gets worse every time I go back.Today there was no ice, lemonade came out of what was labeled as fruit punch… I had to ask cause it wasn’t labeled as lemonade, what if someone is allergic to lemon??!The girl who took our order was at the counter near the drinks eating chicken wings in between taking orders, while also talking with a lady who appeared to be selling jewelry to the workers. After I received my food I came to the counter to ask for something while they were talking with the jewelry lady and both workers just looked at me until I literally waved my hand to come here…My food wasn’t great, I took 2 bites and was over it. I’m done with Howdy’s.

I used to live in Houston a couple of months back and dine in at Howdys Hot chicken REFULARLY. I'm talking once per week almost. The excess amount of exercise I had to maintain to continuously enjoy this food place could not have been more worth it. I still visit Houston from time to time, and every time I do, I go to my favorite spot, Howdys. I've taken many friends, family, and loved ones to this place, only to bless them with some amazing food.May it be an exaggeration, I don't care, I love Howdy's. Do yourself a favor and stop by to try it.Ps: the food would always be gone before I could take any photos.

Man this was the worst hot chicken I ever had. You can tell they didn't season the meat. Fries had no salt. Just a rough experience all around. This place makes Dave's hot chicken look like a Michelin star restaurant.

Tenders were dry, served with bread and butter pickles. So many waffle fries, with no seasoning. I was not happy with food or the service. You walk in, no one their. So many restaurants are consumed with take out and Uber/DoorDash orders. Walk in a place, inside empty and still wait 20 minutes for your order.

I would have loved to try their food but this location has absolutely no wheelchair access despite the Americans with Disabilities Act being over 30 years old.
The hot is hot but still delicious! I have a high tolerance for heat so it was excellent for me but I can see how others might be intimidated by the hot lolFood was great as was the service- Katherine took our order and she was kind and patient as it was our first time here! Our order was delivered quickly and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Definitely coming here again!
