Our server Miraf was wonderful & very attentive. The music & ambience was great. The food was good. I was hoping for amazing. The salmon was a little overcooked & had a hint of burnt flavor. The Parmesan broccoli was delicious. The parm fries were a bit cold & stuck together. This was the Houston location.

I arrived at 5:30 to take advantage of any happy hour they might have. I have never been to this restaurant. Both me and my friend order a martini as we saw HH martinis from regular price of $14 to $7. I actually pointed at the happy hour section and said to the server a "happy hour martini is exactly what is needed". Our drinks arrived and I was about to order happy hour price oysters when the server said happy hour is only at the bar area. (We were seated at a 2 person booth right next to the bar). I asked the server to ask the manager to honor the HH martini price since it was our first time there, dark inside, we were not told happy hour was only at the bar and our server didnt correct us while we ordered the HH martini. He came back and said the manager said "no". Bottom line review: the food is extremely overpriced, service was only so-so, still reeling that the manager wouldnt honor the 1st drink as happy hour pricing or that they didnt come over and talk to us and explain. 4 drinks, 1 dz oysters, a burger, fries and a pasta... the tab was $170! I will not be going back and I should of gotten up and went next door to B19...same pricing but outstanding service and better food.

Love this restaurant. Service is great, food is delicious. Could turn the music down slightly. I left my umbrella in the booth and they called me before I left the parking lot about it. Very thoughtful and kind of them to do that! I will be back soon!

Wait staff really sucks, waited 20 minutes for drinks, never came back to ask if we wanted another one, no refill on water. Food wS fair at bests. Need to understand medium is not well done. Fish was way overcooked, will not go back. Go next door to Brasserie 19.

The French Chicken was dry and tasted like old frozen chicken. My plate was cold and the food was only slightly warm. The fries were old and not hot at all. My husband got the cheese burger it was nothing special. Tasted like a lunch from middle school. Again, the plate was cold and the burger was just warm served with barely warm fries. The service was great. Our waiter was really making the effort. No need to waste your money.

The service was horrendous. We waited 15 minutes for water to be brought to the table. The same for silverware. It took the same amount of time to receive drinks from the bar. It was not crowded. We had maybe three different waiters-never had the same person that we started with. We will never return again

The waiter lost our order so we didn't get out food until 25 minutes after we ordered. The acoustical ceiling tiles look cheap and the overhead lights were too bright and reflected off of the table cloth into your eyes. The Fish Tacos were excellent, but slightly overpriced. The restaurant market in this part of town is extremely competitive, so there wasn't much for me to recommend Hudson House to my friends

Husband got sick from eating malpeque oysters here , and had to be taken to the emergency room. Called on multiple occasions to speak to management and was always blown off or told “i was the first to call.” I do hope nobody else gets sick. And have yet to hear back from anybody. The food was really good and we truly enjoyed our lunch , it's just upsetting that management is handling this very poorly.

I want to start by saying that I am very, VERY particular about my food.I’ve been about everywhere in Houston. This food is absolutely delicious, and the prices are very fair. The service was 10/10. The atmosphere is lacking a little for the area the restaurant is located, but I personally enjoy a simple vibe from time to time. This place was good enough for me to come leave a review.

Really wanted to like because Dallas location so great. Tried twice and both were bad experiences. Service 2/10. First time server talked himself up, then forgot half of our drinks so some people never got theirs, then was rude. The food was delicious though. Second time the food was so subpar, which is disappointing given the price and food quality in Dallas. The service was again terrible. Such a let down for a Dallas institution known for amazing food and service.

- Overall a great restaurant in the River Oaks area Walked in to meet a friend for lunch and soon as you walk in you're amazed by the beautiful ambiance. It's mainly booth style seating (even the two top tables) and a huge bar with nice bar chairs. Soon as I walked in I was welcomed in and was headed to my table within a minute of entering. I had the waitress Jordan and she was fun to interact with and had amazing service. She recommended a few items off the menu and she didn't disappoint. I was super hungry so I started with the Jack's Salad and the Avocado Dip. Both were amazing. The Jack salad has Arugula and Radicchio tossed with onions and Balsamic Vinaigrette. So delicious I cleaned my entire plate. The Avocado dip was so fresh and the chips are some of the best i had. I must say i did have to add a little salt and pepper to it. Now let's discuss the star of the show. The Chicken Parm is a must try. The chicken was a large portion and seasoned so well. It comes over this amazing pasta(it has a little bit of spice). Also i got the Lobster Roll. I wasn't as pleased with it.
