Special occasion dinner with 5 other family members last Thursday. Rafael was our server and he is outstanding. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts were authentic and delicious. Wonderful and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant that serves amazing gourmet Mexican cuisine! And a note of congratulations and complimentary tres leches from Chef Hugo were a very nice touch!!
Stellar place! Everything was fantastic!
Fantastic food artfully presented in this classic Houston restaurant. The squash blossom menu is not to be missed.
We went for the Father's Day brunch and everything was so flavorful. Loved the meats and overall spread. Desserts were a treat. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, the dining room was nicely lit and it was really a great place to celebrate an occasion. I will say some of the portions may seem too big for a buffet - like a whole stuffed poblano pepper. We shared it so there's not any wastage. Thank you for the experience!
Excellent brunch buffet on Sundays!

Food was beautiful, delectable, and well thought out. Great quality. The portions were perfect. Our server (we sat with the far booth/ chair mixture on the opposite sides next to the aforementioned picture). Our server (26DEC24 around 5/530pm) was phenomenal - I forgot her name. Attentive, very much attention to detail, and great service - but not over doing it like 99% of servers nowadays. In return got a great tip, for exceptional service - I hope she gets a shoutout from the owners…10/10 would recommend this establishment!

The decor and atmosphere are fantastic. Food was a little bit bland for our taste. However, the salsa they give is very tasty and very spicy. The desert was incredible. For vegetarians there are 4 appetizer choices, 6 entrees and a number of sides. Definitely worth it.

Went for the brunch and it was excellent. So many choices and each cooked exquisitely. The meats tender and flavorful (not much of a vegetable person but they looked good).
The desserts were plentiful but the peach pie, for me, made everything else disappear. The crust was flaky, the peaches and blueberry with the saucy nectar was excellent. The banana pudding was another good choice along with the powdered cookies, but the peach pie was it.
Went with a group of friends so be prepared for one person to cover the check, they don't split the receipt or so we were informed.
Overall would definitely do the brunch again, it was an enjoyable meal.

My husband and I are from the Washington DC area and are big foodies. Our first time at Hugos did not disappoint. We were greeted at the door with friendly faces and the atmosphere was lively with holiday parties. Our server Adrianna was delighted and had the best laugh ever. Her suggestions were spot on. The margaritas were delicious as well as our apps of octopus and red snapper cerviche ( the chips were served warm and so fresh!). The chef was kind enough to give us a half portion of the oxtail soup (amazing!!), and we split the special entree of Chilean sea bass with lobster and crab! ! We ended the meal with the tres leches which my husband thoroughly enjoyed! The perfect meal with the best service! Thanks for such a wonderful dinner and dining experience!
